Hi ladies! I hope you had a nice weekend. Now that July is in full-swing it really feels like summer around here. Which is why I’m excited to share my new favorite summer recipe. I’ll be honest with you…normally I’m not a big spinach salad fan. I know it’s good for you and I don’t mind it steamed or in smoothies, but in salad form, it’s not my favorite. Or so I thought! My mother in law made this salad for the 4th of July and I was blown away. It tasted absolutely amazing and we all loved it so much {Augustine included!} that I made it again the next night. I think this is probably the best spinach salad recipe, so even if you’re not the biggest spinach fan, give it a try. We’re planning on making this salad all summer long!

As you probably know, I’ve been working to commit to allyship to people of color during this time {check out my recent post about how to be an ally here!}, and I think one of the best things we can do to help is really to educate ourselves and the people around us, especially our kids. Instilling these ideas of diversity and differences in society to our kids is such a fundamental lesson and can really help them develop good and strong values. Wow, the weather in SoCal has been sooo nice recently!! As the weather continues to heat up, I think we’re all wishing for a normal summer. Even though that isn’t the case, there are still so many things we can do that are safe and fun, so I came up with a list of 10 summer social distancing activities! When this all started it was still cold outside, and quarantine activities included baking bread and fixing up our homes, but now the sun is out, the weather is warm, and I wanted to give you guys some new ideas.
