Augustine's Nursery Reveal- a fresh and unique gender-neutral nursery design @marmar

I’m so excited to finally share photos of Augustine’s Nursery with you all! We started designing this room over the summer, some said a little late, but everything was all done by the time he arrived {sans a pouf!}. The funny thing is that during those early weeks Augustine didn’t spend much time in this room since he was, and still is, sleeping in a bassinet in our room. Nevertheless, it was so nice to have the room finished and ready for him.

As you might remember, we decided to wait to find out the gender. With that in mind we decided to create a gender neutral nursery space with whites, creams, and different textures. Here was some of our inspiration! I knew that we could always add “boy” or “girl” accents later. I’m so happy with how the room came out. It’s actually my favorite room in our house! Here are some photos and details. I’d love to know what you think!

Augustine’s Newborn Shoot

The first few weeks of Augustine’s life were such a blur but full of so many wonderful emotions. We were beyond tired but just filled with a tremendous amount of love for our little guy. Matthew and I had gone back and forth about doing a newborn shoot and finally decided that it would be such a special way to mark this time. Oh my gosh I am soo glad we did! We decided to go with Photos by Monika because she’s kind of an expert when it comes to newborn photography. It’s incredible looking back on these photos now and remembering how tiny he was in those early days. If we feel that way now, when it hasn’t even been 2 months, I know we’re going to really cherish these photos as he gets bigger!

Augustine’s Birth Story

M Loves M Birth Story

It’s hard to believe Augustine has been in our lives for over a month. It seems like just yesterday that we were bringing him into this world. I debated whether or not to share the birth story with you all, but it was such an incredible experience that I couldn’t imagine not sharing it. His birth changed me in more ways than one and it’s a story I hope I remember for the rest of my life. Without further ado, here’s Augustine’s Birth Story.
