Can we talk about how amazing this green suede trench is? It’s perfect! Its the under $50 piece of outerwear your fall wardrobe needs. Trust me! You really can’t beat a price that good. I styled this sleeveless trench with a pair of jeans and a white tank but it’s going to look so cute later in fall with sweaters and long sleeve turtlenecks. Sleeveless trenches have quickly become one of my favorite pieces of outerwear because they’re so versatile and easy to layer with. Even on Sunday I wore it with a long sleeve black dress and it looked so cute!

Breaking the Color Rules

I feel like I’m breaking the color rules in today’s post! I mean I’m wearing black with navy {isn’t that a no no?!} and black with tan {another faux pas}. Yet, I feel like it still works. What do you think?  I love how the navy pops against the black, and maybe it’s the addition of the camel color that actually makes this combo acceptable. Whatever it is, I’m going to continue breaking the color rules and see what happens! Don’t ever say I didn’t take any outfit risks 😉

This outfit has some of my favorite fall elements to it: a long cardigan, ankle booties, and a fall hat. I have to say though, whenever I wear a black hat I feel a little witchy. Which reminds me, what the heck am I going to be for Halloween this year? I need to get started on a costume ASAP! Have you started planning your Halloween costume yet?

Goodbye 2015: Highlights from the Year

New Years Eve always feels a little bittersweet to me. As excited as I am for a new year and a new start, I get sad about memories from the year moving further away. This year was full with the normal amount of highs and lows, but luckily it seems to have been a lot better than 2014! That year was a tough one over here!
