Plaid, leather and leopard are on my mind lately! I didn’t mean to put together an outfit with my Friday 5 but sometimes it’s hard not to! Every season I like to find a new plaid shirt that will go with simple jeans outfits and also cute skirt outfits. There are several button-up varieties that I like but this short sleeved top, from one of my favorite brands Greylin, stood out the most to me. The green color combo would work well through fall and winter, and the raw hem detail adds a cute element. It’s no secret that I love midi skirts and this one in the shiny black leather-like material is so perfect. I love the feminine pleats and how expensive it looks. Best part? It’s under $100! Amazing, right?! 
Purple and magenta bags are my favorite this time of year {I’ve been wearing this one to death!}. I like that this crossbody bag that has a Back to School feel, yet works for a young professional. Black bags can be so boring sometimes so I like to add a little color that way.
Feminine details like pearl earrings with a cute fanned back, and leopard pumps with a d’orsay cut-out finish this look off in the best way. I’ll admit I TOTALLY want to be wearing this right now!

Happy Friday everyone! This week went by pretty fast for me, considering my days were a lot longer. I started waking up an hour earlier this week so that I could go to the gym in the mornings with Matthew. It’s been so hard for me to wake up early because I’m not a morning person but I’ve been needing to get back to the gym desperately. I have a lot of back problems so strengthening those muscles in particular is so important. I’m glad I’ve been able to motivate myself to get up early..just gotta stick with it!
This week I’ve been feeling a little bit preppy so a pink cacoon coat is high on my wishlist {it also comes in a classic camel color!}. I’ve also been on the lookout for a cute pair of loafers. I love this pair with the two-tone colors and tassels. It would look so cute with a plaid shift dress or with a pair of jeans a classic button up, maybe like this heart and polka dotted top!
I’ve wanted a gold watch forever and I recently got this one from Fossil. It’s so classic and the perfect everyday accessory!
Ok. so I might be alone in this statement but I totally want hair accessories to come back. I’m talking headbands a la Gossip Girl and cute shiny hair clips. This feather barrette is adorable and would look so stylish paired with a braid. They also have this jumbo feather clip that would make quite the statement. What do you guys think? Are you a fan of hair accessories coming back?

Hello, Friday! I’m glad you’re here. I’m looking forward to sleeping in a little bit tomorrow morning. The only thing is I wish I had a cute eye mask! It’s been so bright in the mornings that I keep waking up earlier than I need to. I think we need to re-evaluate our bedroom curtain situation. I got the sweetest surprise from Coach today! Flowers to celebrate the launch of their new perfume Poppy Wildflower. I almost didn’t notice the perfume bottle tucked into the flowers! The scent is heavenly. I’m kind of a perfume addict {and collector} and this one is going to be on heavy rotation. It’s a little warmer than their traditional Poppy perfume, with notes of vanilla and musk. It’s unique, feminine and ultra-romantic. If you’re by a store this weekend I’d definitely recommend testing it out. Being the girly girl that I am, I’ve realized a need for a heart print dress in my wardrobe. How I don’t have one is beyond me! This one from J.Crew is super cute and would be a perfect fall dress. I love the thought of it paired with some simple ballet flats for work. These fuchsia bow heels are pretty amazing too! I love the bright  and vibrant color and while I think it would be the perfect party heel, I’m also loving the idea of it paired with with ankle cropped jeans and a pretty white blouse. I’d wear that all day every day! And maybe carry around this embellished clutch too! Perfect for a date night!
What do you have going on this weekend? Besides sleeping in, tomorrow we are doing some house painting. We’re changing the front door color and I can’t wait for you to see! It’s going to look tons better. Saturday night Matthew and I are finally having a sushi date night. It’s been too long and we need to raise up our Mercury levels!
