I do a decent amount of shopping over Thanksgiving weekend every year. Usually in my pajamas and on the computer. I can barely get us all to the mall on a normal day, let alone on one as crazy as Black Friday. Some of the best deals are online anyways! Of course, I’ve been planning my purchases already. Things are starting to feel pretty festive around these parts. Which is why I thought I would share some of my favorite holiday red lipsticks. I love wearing red lipstick year round, but you have to admit, it is particularly charming about a red lip during the holidays.
Is there anything more French, classic, or glamorous than a red Chanel Lipstick? If you’re after a matte lip, you have to try their Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in Rouge Charnel. It’s the most perfect red ever and would be a great staple piece for your beauty wardrobe. If you prefer a little shine in your lip color, this hydrating lipstick from Lancome would be so pretty in any shade of red, but especially in Absolute Rouge.
If brighter red shades aren’t your style, sometimes in the fall and winter I like to go for a really vampy dark red lip. This Laura Mercier lipstick {Rouge Essentiel Silky Crème Lipstick} in Rouge Muse is so glam and moody. But it comes in other great shades of red too! I also love a good brick red shade, and this lipstick in Ruby would fit the bill. It’s supposed to give “just-kissed” look which seems perfect for under the mistletoe.
I love the dual shades of this YSL balmy lipstick. It will be a little more sheer, so it would make the perfect gift. Not only is it super unique and cute gift. Especially if the receiver isn’t one to wear full-blown lip color.
If you love a product that can multitask as much as I do, then this RMS Beauty lip and cheek combo. I feel like it would give the prettiest flush to lips and cheeks. Almost like you just stepped out of the cold!
And of course, nothing pairs better with red lipstick than a super glam party dress! Luckily I found a few really great party dresses on sale and rounded them up below!

Fall is all about the layers! This is what we waited all summer for right? I think layers are part of why fall fashion is so fun and more of a challenge. In the summer all you need is a sun dress. One and done. But dressing can feel so much more creative during the fall. Not to mention, more practical. Let’s face it, we have to layer to stay warm! One of my favorite styles to layer right now is maxi cardigans. I wore this grey one recently and plan on rotating it with the camel cardigan I’m wearing in these photos all season long!
