I saw this lip print tee during my event at J.Crew the other month and had to have it. It was actually designed by the guy who beautified that Cadillac Matthew and I shot in front of for Valentine’s Day. Gosh, that seems like so long ago now! Especially when I see photos of those bangs!
Graphic tees are so fun and it’s a classic combo with jeans. I paired the outfit with this red blazer, which picks up on the lip print on the tee, and a pair of striped wedges. This is one of those outfits that could work for an a casual lunch and errands!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I went to a really fun party on Saturday and then had a fun date night at home with Matthew. The weather was so weird this weekend. We woke up to thunder and rain on Saturday and it rained off and on throughout the day. It was nice to stay in, order thai food, and enjoy the rare cozy weather!
Sunday I did a bunch of work and then we celebrated Matthew’s birthday a little early with my parents. I’m excited because we have a fun, short little trip planned this week. Things have been so crazy busy so it will be nice to get away for a few days!

a lip print Cadillac

I realized the other day that I didn’t share all the photos from my VALENTINE’S DAY SHOOT with Matthew. In an effort to not make the post too long, I thought I’d split the photos up {you’re welcome!}. So, at the end of our shoot, we came across this amazing 1974 Cadillac with big cherry-red lip prints all over it. After some research I found out that the classic car was beautified by Donald Robertson, creative director of Estee Lauder, for an Art Basel project with Smashbox. They drove it all the way to Miami and back, with some fun stops in between. We were so thrilled to take photos in front of it, although I’ll admit I was secretly dreaming of hot wiring it and taking it straight to an old drive-in movie theatre! So much fun! I felt like this post was fitting since Valentine’s Day was one month ago today. Do you still have leftover candy? I was suckered into buying it on sale. I couldn’t resist, so now I have red and pink M&Ms to keep me full until Halloween!

february highlights

March 2, 2015
February felt like it went by quickly, but it’s a short month so I guess it had to! I feel like the biggest thing was that I was in New York, freezing my butt off, during Fashion Week. Oh man, I still think about how happy I am to be back home. Also, not to have any trips coming up is so nice. I love traveling but being at home is my favorite. I feel like March is going to go by too quickly because we don’t have that much planned yet so I’m working on adding some fun things to our calendar! But, let’s take a look at February shall we! Here are some of my highlights:
  • Celebrated Valentine’s Day early with Matthew! We ate macarons and went to dinner at Fishing with Dynamite. It was fun to kick off the holiday a little early!
  • I loved being in NYC for Fashion Week, minus the cold, and one of my favorites was seeing the KATE SPADE presentation. I loved this bow dress!
  • I shared a fun Valentine’s Day shoot Matthew and I did! We found this perfect love wall and danced in front of it! Cheesy but so fun!
  • I borrowed this beautiful pink Chanel bag in New York and I’m still dreaming about it {seriously!}.
  • Stopping by the Aerin showroom was such a highlight! I was in love with how it was all styled. I’m thinking about redoing my office and making it look just like this!
  • Caught up with my friend Nora and our moms at TART in LA. 
  • Wore my WEEKEND SWEATSHIRT to celebrate..the weekend!
  • Worked downtown with a yummy almond milk latte!
  • Reorganized the shelves for our home shoot!! We shot it this morning and I can’t wait to get the photos back and share them with you. It’s been a work in progress for so long!
