look book: winter shorts

February 22, 2010
I absolutely love this pretty little headband made by Chloé. It’s been cheering me & my outfits up! This was from a slightly warmer day but since it was still a little chilly I went with some corduroy shorts and tights. Am I the only one itching for summer? It can’t come fast enough!

This weekend went by way too quickly! Friday night Matthew and I went out to dinner and celebrated a belated Valentine’s Day..since last weekend we were wrapped up with my cousin and her family. It was kind of funny because at dinner we saw Chad Michael Murray {most recognized from One Tree Hill, but I loved him in Gilmore Girls}. Saturday Matthew got a new car! He’s been talking about it for awhile and since he has a 45+ minute commute he’s really wanted to get one that’s more gas friendly. I’ll post pictures of it sometime this week! Sigh I hope all of you are more ready for Monday than I am! What did you do this weekend?

Styling Denim on Denim

February 12, 2016

styling a canadian tuxedo M Loves M

Another Friday Casual look for ya! Well almost casual! Styling denim on denim has become one of my favorite no-brainer outfits. It just always seems to work. Sometimes I’ll add an army green anorak jacket, and other times I’ll add a long cardigan sweater. Today I’m wearing it with a gray sleeveless vest {last worn with a black midi dress here}.

blue valentine

February 12, 2014
If there’s one time of year to embrace romantic and girly style, it’s Valentine’s week! I usually go all out with lace and florals, sequins and bows, red and pink..I mean why not right? When Old Navy asked me to style a VDay outfit I immediately was drawn to this floral blazer. It’s subtly festive which I love. I think if I dressed like a beating heart every day my friends would roll their eyes {and they have!}. I liked the idea of playing with a blue, but not sad blue, color palette, so I added this embellished button up and denim skirt. These mustard heels are a favorite of mine and they added a much-loved pop of color! Festive but not too over the top.
