Can you believe that February is tomorrow? In a lot of ways this felt like the slowest month ever, especially when you’re not eating any sugar, but it also seems like it went by super fast. And as soon as it’s February 1st, Valentine’s Day is literally right around the corner. Although my grocery store was telling me that just days after Christmas!
Since the 14th is exactly two weeks away I thought I’d share some casual Valentine’s Day outfit inspiration with you all. This outfit is a little more subtle than most- there’s some pink, but it’s not overly girly. I love the rosey-mauve color of this sweater and how it looks with the lighter pink in the bandana. If you’re not big on Valentine’s Day, or aren’t planning on donning a fancy dress, this outfit is for you!
Who else is getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit, now that it’s February? One of the things I love about this time of year is how often I get to wear my favorite colors, red and pink. And I can wear them together. It’s kind of reminiscent of my burgundy and pink outfit, right? Well, kind of! Here’s a Valentine’s Day outfit with pink and red that would be perfect for a date with your love, or your best friends!
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and I can’t wait. This year is the first in many that Matthew and I will be able to celebrate it together. Last year, I had a Galentine’s Date with some girlfriends in New York City during Fashion Week, and the year before that Matthew’s flight was delayed from a work trip and he didn’t get back until just after midnight on the 14th. While celebrating a few days after doesn’t really make that much of a difference, I’m excited to have a whole Valentine’s Day weekend with my favorite guy.
I put together a Valentine’s Day Gift Guide, for her & for him, to hopefully inspire you for the upcoming holiday!
One of the things I love about Valentine’s Day is all the red and pink, my two favorite colors! I’ve seen these fringe and tassel sandals on a few girls and love them! They make such a fun statement and I know I’d get a ton of good use out of them. You can’t go wrong with a light pink lipstick, and this one from Charlotte Tilbury comes in the prettiest tube!
I love getting Matthew fun things for Valentine’s Day! I know he’d get a kick out of these xoxo boxers, or these sneakers with the hidden heart. Matthew is really into music so a new pair of headphones would go over well, or a sleek black watch! Heading into spring, I know he’s appreciate this pair of sunglasses! We just need to plan a warm-weather trip to go along with it!

Valentine’s Day can’t come soon enough! Bring on the candy, flowers, and red and pink colored everything!
