My Everyday Makeup Routine Tutorial

It has been so long since I’ve said I was going to share my everyday makeup routine with you all. Let’s blame the baby, k? This is the routine that I do every day when I’m going out in public and want to look presentable. I have a much shorter routine on the days that I’m home, or don’t feel like spending a lot of time getting ready. You know those days! This beauty routine doesn’t take me long though, maybe about 10 minutes. I’m sharing all the products I’ve used too, so if you’re interested, you can recreate this same look at home. Now let’s get to it! Here’s my everyday makeup routine:

My Favorite Beauty Products for my Everyday Beauty Routine

Step 1// Foundation

I’ve been loving this Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer in Alabaster. It comes with a brush attached to the lid, but I don’t really use it, except to dot the product on my face. I feel like the brush doesn’t really blend that well, but the formula is my fave. I get just the right amount of coverage that’s not too light or too heavy. I have a lot of pink pigmentation in my skin, so sheer foundations don’t work for me. To blend the foundation I use this EcoTools Blending & Bronzing Brush.

Step 2// Eyes, Lashes & Brows

I got so used to not doing anything with my eyes and lashes when I got eyelash extensions. I had them for the first few months with Augustine and it made things so easy! But I feel like it’s best to keep things as natural as can be and, besides the fact that they’re expensive to maintain, I didn’t want to destroy my lashes. So here’s my current eye routine:

I curl my lashes with the Shiseido Eyelash Curler. It’s true that it’s the best! I’ve been really liking this palette by Smashbox Cosmetics in Softlight. It has a lot of good colors to mix and blend with and it gives a nice glow.

I usually just use my fingers when applying eyeshadow because it’s easiest!

For a liner, I’ve been using the Endless Silky Eye Pencil from Pixi Beauty in Graphic Greige. I usually line the upper lids and lightly line the lower. When I want a cat eye look, though, I reach for the stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner in Intense Black. The brush is perfect to get a good flick!

To finish off the look, I add mascara. I’ve been using this Urban Decay Perversion mascara that I really like. It goes on really clean and isn’t too wet or dry. A good drugstore one is L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara.

For brows, I use the Lancôme Le Crayon Poudre Eyebrow Powder Pencil in Brunet just to fill in a bit and add a little arch definition. I like the powder finish since it’s not oily.

Step 3// Concealer

I’ve been using the Glossier Stretch Concealer in Medium and really like it. I always put this on after I do my eyeshadow just in case eyeshadow falls under my eyes.

Step 4// Bronzer

I’ve been using the Dolce & Gabbana bronzer in Natural since this post and love it. It’s lasted a long time {obviously!} but the color is really great and a little goes a long way. I’m also a fan of the Nars Laguna bronzer.

Step 5// Blush

I stopped wearing blush for the longest time but now I’m back on the blush train! I’ve been using this Air Blush by Marc Jacobs in Kink & Kisses lately and love how it looks. It’s light and not too heavy. During the spring and summer, I usually wear Benefit’s Dandelion Baby-Pink blush.

Step 6// Highlighter

I’ve been using the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light for awhile now. It gives a little champagne pearl shimmer so it’s perfect on the tops of your cheekbones. As far as highlighters go, I also like the one from Jouer. I use the color Tiare. If you’re looking for a cream consistency, and want some more intensity, go with the one from Jouer, but if you just want a little illumination, the Hourglass powder would be perfect!

Step 7// Powder

I’ve been using the Lancôme Dual Finish Powder since high school and I swear by it. I’ve used others and none compare. I feel like this is what always gives me a flawless finish. The shade I use is Versatile 310 Bisque II. This is something I wear daily.

Step 8// Lips

If I’m just wanting a simple, lip balm look I love the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment. It has an SPF in it too. For lip color, my go-to has been this one from Dolce and Gabbana in Dolce Rosa. It’s been my favorite pink. I talked about it in my Top 10 Products from 2016 post too!

And even though it’s not a makeup product, perfume is always the final touch! I’ve been loving the Paco Rabanne Olympéa perfume, after using it in this post!
