I hope all you mamas out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day yesterday. It was such a special first Mother’s Day for me. I was able to sleep in a little bit, Matthew made breakfast, and then we took Augustine to the park to watch the ducks in the pond. It’s so fun going on these little adventures with him because he gets so excited seeing all the new things. I’m looking forward to all the Mother’s Days ahead, especially when he can say “I love you Mama!” That will be the most special gift!
Yesterday I was reminded how grateful and lucky I am to be a mother. I’m not even a year into my motherhood journey and it’s already the hardest, messiest, most exhausting thing I’ve ever done, and I know there will by countless challenges ahead. Yet at the same time, it’s the most enjoyable, rewarding and satisfying thing I’ve ever done in my life. The joy I feel being a mother, and being THIS boy’s mother, is indescribable. It’s like I’m doing what I’ve always been meant to do.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas, single mamas, expecting mamas, angel mamas and fur mamas. And for all those of you wanting to be mothers, I’m sending a big prayer for you too!! God is good and we just have to trust in His timing.
