the (un)basics

This outfit is made up of some basic pieces that are made “un-basic” with their own little twist. This black top is steps it up in a flattering peplum cut and a pair of basic trouser pants are upgraded with a fun print, perfect for the warmer seasons. Whenever I wear more neutral colors I like to throw in a pop of color. This classic satchel in a bright green did the job perfectly! While the colors in this outfit don’t necessarily scream spring, they all have components that I think make them perfect for the spring season!

Thank you all for the sweet comments about my hair on Monday! It was a lot to get used to at first but I’m having so much fun with it. It’s such a nice change, and while I know I’ll go back to my normal, long, hair eventually, it’s really perfect for now! I love that it requires less product, as well as less showering and styling time. Short hair is definitely perfect for the girl on the go!
