Now that summer is finally here I’m excited to wear some classic warm weather styles. Whenever I think of summer clothes I immediately think flowy, summer dresses, as well as patterns like stripes and aztec, colors like red, white and blue, and materials like linen, chambray, and woven straw. When The Limited asked me to go to their new store at The Oaks in Thousand Oaks, I was on the lookout for all these things. I came away with two classic outfits that are perfect for the summer season. The first one is a black and white striped dress with a beautiful full skirt, perfect for twirling under the stars. During the daytime a denim jacket is perfect to dress the look down. The second outfit is a little fancier, with an orangey-red tulip skirt and a silky white tank. Red is my favorite color, but I love the twist on the modern red with the orange undertones. The tulip style is unique; a perfect twist on the classic pencil skirt. This straw clutch was a last minute add-on, but one that I feel totally makes the outfit. I was struck by the geometric design with the leather trim. It was the perfect pattern to bring into my otherwise solid ensemble.
