Summer Kickoff Soiree with Smirnoff Sorbet Light

July 5, 2013

One of my favorite parts of summer is eating outdoors.
There’s something so magical about enjoying the cool evening breezes and
finishing a meal under the stars. It’s one of the things I look forward to all
year long. To celebrate the beginning of summer, Smirnoff kindly provided the
drinks for our outdoor soiree.
I made a spread of watermelon slices with feta and mint,
blue cheese with smoked almonds and herb crackers, as well as some of Matthew’s
favorite specialty olives, to go with our Smirnoff Mango Passion Fruit cocktails.
The drinks were made with Smirnoff Sorbet Light, a reduced calorie,
naturally-flavored line of vodka specialties. They’re not too sweet so they
were perfect for our al fresco meal! For dinner we had a summer pasta with fresh tomatoes and
basil, and an arugula and kale salad with avocado and cucumber. It was the
perfect night outside, and the perfect way to kick off the summer season!
