Matthew and I had such a fun weekend exploring the South Bay. We went on a morning hike in Palos Verdes with Ginger, finally made a visit to the Redondo Beach Pier and Boardwalk, and explored some of the cute antique shops on PCH. It was especially fun to walk around the Redondo Beach Pier. We went to Quality Seafood for lunch to get the typical fried fish sandwich and clam chowder, and we couldn’t resist a churro before we left from Pier Bakery. It was a gorgeous January day and it was nice to spend some time by the ocean, watching the fisherman cast their lines and seeing cute little ducks diving into the water. Here are some photos from our afternoon in Redondo Beach!
Weekends like this one make me love California a little bit more. It also has me to realize how much more exploring Matthew and I have to do in our own backyard! Taking some time away from our work and responsibilities was so needed, too. Our weekends can be kind of stressful with all the things we “have” to do, but I’m hoping we can enjoy more days like this in 2014!
