Now that we all have fall on the brain I’ve been thinking more about how to make some of my favorite summer dresses work for the cooler season. I love the navy and burgundy color combo so I paired these pretty heels with this peplum polka dotted dress. I added a denim jacket which would work when the weather starts to cool down a bit. It also would look great tied around the waist if it gets too hot. In LA this weekend we got some crazy and very unexpected weather for August. It was hot, humid and.. rainy! Can you believe that? I don’t think I’ve ever experienced rain in LA during the month of August. We’re preparing ourselves for a wet season which is fine by me. I love the rain, and plus our state is in a major drought. The more water the better!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I’m in Hume Lake with Matthew’s family for the first half of this week which I’m excited about. The service is non-existent so I’m planning on going to some WIFI hotspots when I can. I’ll try to upload to Instagram and Twitter so you can follow along. I’m going to try to unplug too though. It’s nice to not have to feel so computer connected. It’s absolutely beautiful here! It reminds me a little bit of Lake Tahoe, which is where my family vacationed growing up. I miss it so much! Hoping we can get back one of these years. Happy to have this time with Matthew’s family. We’re going to go on bike rides, hang out at the lake, make s’mores and all of that good stuff! I’ve been looking forward to this!
Have a great day everyone!
