A black moto jacket is definitely a fall essential. It’s a great transitional piece when the weather starts to change and looks nice layered over sweaters and with chunky scarves. A black moto jacket also gives a little edge to an outfit, too, which can be really fun! I paired the jacket with this animal print dress from LOFT to make it a little more playful. I like the combo of this coated cotton jacket, that has a high quality faux leather look, with the tan and black combo on the dress. I couldn’t decide between these gray ankle booties or the black ones, but settled on the latter since it just seemed to work a little bit better. Sometimes staying in simple color schemes can make a stronger statement but I’m dying to wear this outfit with some stylish burgundy heels too! It would be great for a fall party!

How was your weekend everyone? Ours was really nice! We went to see a play my Dad directed on Friday night {which was amazing!}, drove down to San Diego for the day on Saturday to see Matthew’s family, and Sunday I spent the afternoon with my friend Devon {who has an amazing blog!} getting lunch and doing some home shopping. She has a great eye so it was so fun to check out some antique stores with her! Then we went to dinner at my parents’ house and saw some family friends who were in town. It was such a great way to end such a nice weekend!
I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!!

Hi Amelia! I'm a size small and it's a little loose on me but I kinda like it that way. It's a little comfier but I might recommend sizing down if you can.
