Part of my basic spring uniform includes the following: dress, light jacket, and flats. I usually do a variation of this type of outfit because it’s so incredibly easy and there are always lots of combinations. I bought this black eyelet embroidered dress to wear for my trip to Austin last month. I wore it to an event one evening but love how it can work during the daytime too! I couldn’t resist pairing it with my favorite jacket. The embroidery adds texture and color to an otherwise solid print outfit. These black lace-up flats have been getting a lot of mileage, which I’m so happy about! They’re still incredibly comfortable and I feel like I get compliments on them wherever I go. I need to invest in more stylish flats!

I decided to put my hair back in a quick braid so Valorie was so sweet to let me borrow her bracelet as a hair tie. It’s kind of perfect though because it ties in the red! Also, speaking of red, if you’re looking for a perfect matte red lipstick, this one is definitely your girl! I can’t tell you how much I love it {a lot!}.
