We’re in full holiday swing now with Christmas this week and New Years next! I’ve been looking to update my beauty look a little bit, since, lately, I feel like I’ve been wearing the same products to create the same look: black cat eye, fresh skin, and holiday red lipstick. With New Years coming right up I wanted to create a beauty look that would work for the holiday, and also all winter long. Here’s a bronzy makeup tutorial to have you feeling like the islands are just moments away!
BRONZY MAKEUP TUTORIAL
STEP 1: After prepping with foundation and concealer, start with the eyes! Swipe on the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Gel Cream Shadow in Natural Silver. This is a product that comes as part of a trio so you can choose between natural silver, playful charcoal or dramatic black in the Smoky Eyes collection. One thing I really love about this eye shadow is the versatility. The shadow doubles as a liner so you can add shimmery definition to your eyes as well. You can layer it on for a bolder, full-on metallic foil look, or you can keep it subtle with just a hint of shimmer, like I did in this tutorial.
STEP 2: I lined my eyes with Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Dramatic Black. It’s part of the Shimmery Nude Eyes trio. I line my eyes with eyeliner 95% of the time but I loved that this set has a shimmery quality as well. The color is really pigmented and gives you a glamorous look.
STEP 3:
To finish off the eyes you can’t forget mascara! I tried this Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit which was so cool! They are brush-on lash extensions that wash off at the end of the day. You apply a Lash Boosting mascara to prep the lashes and then you brush-on extensions while the mascara is still wet. This instantly builds them up! Then you reapply the Lash Boosting Mascara to seal and set extensions. Your lashes definitely get thicker and longer!
STEP 4:
What’s a bronzy makeup tutorial without some bronzer?! I applied the Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Bronzer. Physicians Formula is known for their incredible bronzers and this one is no exception. Besides the palette looking like a piece of art, you really feel like you get a sunlit glow as if you’ve escaped to Morocco. The bronzer is infused with 100% Pure Argan Oil, known as “liquid gold” for its rich conditioning benefits. It’s supposed to improve skin’s brightness, tone, texture and elasticity.
STEP 5:
I also like to add a little hint of blush, even when I have bronzy makeup on, so I added the Exotic Blushing Glow in Rose from the same Argan Wear collection. The addition of blush gives my skin a soft and natural looking glow.
STEP 6:
Finally, I add a nude lipstick to let the bronzy makeup look stand out!
This is the perfect tutorial to wear during the winter when you want to look like you just had an island vacation! I also love it for a New Years since you might be tired of wearing the same red lipstick holiday look! Have you started to plan your New Year’s Eve yet?
