The other week, during an unusual for February heatwave, I had to get out of our sweltering house and get over to the beach. I think I was really just looking for an excuse to get out of the house, and our lack of AC did me in! I went to Intelligentsia in Venice with Val and got an iced almond milk latte that I pretty much finished in under five minutes. That’s the one problem with iced drinks, they disappear too quickly! I went casual in Converse with a black t-shirt dress {last worn dressed up with heels} and a navy bucket bag that I wore all the time last summer. I’d say we’re skipping spring and going straight to summer, but the other day it rained! Our weather has been all kinds of crazy lately, but I guess it’s nice to mix things up a bit!

Happy Friday everyone! I’m in Palm Springs for the next few days for the end of Modernism Week. Last night I went to a Mad Men event at this incredible house, where they actually shot scenes from the show. I was so sad they wouldn’t let us take photos {we couldn’t even wear our shoes in the house..we were in hospital booties!}. The design and decor was absolutely amazing though. Mid-century at it’s best! The house was built by renowned architect William Cody in 1962 and then later restored by architect Michael Haverland who modernized it while keeping its original charm.  I found some photos of the house online here if you’re interested in checking it out!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! See you next week!
