If you follow along on Instagram, you probably know I had a fun little getaway last weekend. I attended Modernism Week in Palm Springs with the HauteLook team and some of my favorite blogger friends. To say we had the best time is a major understatement! We got to relax and enjoy one of the cutest Palm Springs hotels, dined at some of the best desert restaurants, and attended the coolest events! Read on for a full recap of my weekend in Palm Springs!
On Thursday afternoon, I checked into the Avalon Hotel. I’ve been dying to stay at this hotel since I attended an event there during Coachella last year. The hotel is so pretty and I love the pops of color from the orange doors to the yellow lobby. One of my favorite things about this hotel is that there are a bunch of different pools so you can find the vibe that works for you {quiet and relaxed or fun and busy}. Thursday evening, everyone gathered together for cocktails at Chi Chi’s which was our go-to throughout the weekend for food and drinks. Everything we had was absolutely delicious! It was so great to have Devon, Alicia and Samantha there too! Devon is one of my closest blogger friends and Alicia and Sam are the absolute sweetest. I’ve been missing our little HauteLook Quad Squad since getting back home!

That night, we checked out the Mad Men Affair at the Abernathy House, which I talked about in last week’s post. Afterwards, we headed to dinner at one of my favorite Palm Springs spots, Birba! We had wine, pizza, a yummy beet salad, and the best chocolate caramel tart for dessert. I went to bed with a very happy tummy!
On Friday, we had a relaxing morning with some pool time! I’ve been needing to get some color so it was nice to just hang out and soak up that desert sunshine! In the afternoon, we headed to the HauteLook Modernism Week Social House for a fun DIY Terrarium Workshop with succulents. I don’t have the greenest thumb but I’m hoping I can keep my creation alive and happy! Let me know if you have any tips!
That night, there was a fun cocktail party at the house with refreshing cocktails and delicious bites. Plus these flamingo cookies! It was great to see some LA friends who were also in town for Modernism Week.

On Saturday morning, we started the day with a “Haute Yoga” session. I love practicing yoga outdoors! After that we headed to brunch at Cheeky’s! It was my first time there and the food was incredible!! I’m helping plan a bachelorette party in April and I think this spot will be a must! Before heading back to LA, I checked out the Modernism Week Vintage Trailer Show. There were so many cool, renovated airstream trailers. I loved how unique and different they all were. Makes you want to get one and fix it up!
This was such an incredible weekend that reaffirmed my love of Palm Springs! A huge thank you to the wonderful HauteLook team for inviting me along! I’m already dreaming of going back!
