I’m feeling slightly preppy in stripes! There’s something so classic about a striped button-up shirt. It’s one of my favorite pieces to wear for a casual work day with a pencil skirt, but it transitions really well to weekend style. You could throw on a pair of tennis shoes and be ready for a day of exploring. Stripes are probably my favorite print, and my Mom reminds me that I have a lot of them, but I do wear them quite regularly. It works for almost any occasion!

How was your weekend everyone? Mine was really fun and exciting, but also kinda restful and lazy. Let me explain. For one, my best friend in the entire world got engaged on Friday night! I’m so excited for her and I can’t wait to help her plan the wedding she’s been talking about since we were 6 years old! On Saturday, one of my other best friends came over for dinner and we cooked up a delicious pasta with salad and ice cream. We stayed up late talking and catching up and it was just what I needed! Sunday was a lazy rainy day spent at home, but I baked a yummy chocolate cake that I need to post sometime soon. It was surprisingly easy and it filled the house with the most heavenly chocolate smell. I’m definitely going to be having a slice for breakfast this morning. Cake for breakfast is the best thing ever!
