Midi skirts are always a go-to for me, and while I can wear them year-round, I particularly love them in the spring and summer. This denim midi skirt comes with a cute buttoned-up detail and a waist-tie belt. The light material is ideal for those hot spring days. I wanted to style a Modern Riviera look so I paired it with a nautical sweater with unexpected orange stripes {although it does come in classic navy too!}. This sweater is another great piece because of the light open knit. All you need is a little layering tank underneath!

Another thing I especially love about midi skirts is how flattering they are. I like how the accentuate your waist. Sometimes that means sizing down one size so that they fit high enough. When midi skirts fall lower on your hips they can look a little frumpy, so pay attention to sizing! Midi skirts also look great with a classic tee or a modern crop top, if you’re brave enough!

Make sure to take a look at Old Navy’s Modern Riviera collection. It definitely has inspired a few of my upcoming outfits! I really love nautical looks and of course print mixing!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I was having some annoying back problems so spent most of Saturday in bed. It’s so frustrating how debilitating back problems can be. Luckily, Sunday I was feeling a lot better so I ran some errands and saw the sunset at the beach with Matthew and Ginger! I love ending the weekend by the ocean!

Have a great day everyone!
