Denim trends can sometimes be hit or miss, but this is one I was really excited about for spring. The latest denim trend for spring is definitely the flared crop jean, often referred to as “The Gaucho.” The thing I like about this trend is that the jean is kind of a hybrid between a cropped ankle jean and a flare. Plus, you can wear it with heel, or a cute pair of flats {like these pointy-toed ones or these lace-up ones}. The frayed crop edge definitely lends a more casual look so you could even wear it with a pair of slip-on sandals.
For me, I chose these strappy nude sandals that I can’t get enough of {last worn with a pink wrap dress}. I paired it with a chambray off-the-shoulder top. I had to get it after wearing this printed version. It’s such a great piece for spring!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a lot of friend time which was much needed! Friday night I went to Playa Provisions for a bday dinner, Saturday morning my friend Monica threw a cute brunch at her house, and Saturday night Matthew and I went to The Wallace with our favorites Eden and Zan. Sunday was a chill day at home and then we celebrated my brother’s birthday with my family over a ramen dinner and chocolate cake. It was the perfect end to a great weekend!
