Summer in LA is definitely the best season! I guess it’s really our only season since we don’t get much of a fall or winter, and spring is often skipped right over. One of the things I love about living in Los Angeles, though, is taking day trips to different parts of the city on the weekends. My favorite areas always include ones with a beach right nearby. I’ve been wanting to have a Malibu day lately, especially with all the new restaurants and boutiques opening up. I threw on this gorgeous white linen dress from Tommy Bahama and we hit the road!
White linen is such a summer staple. It’s a piece that looks good day or night, dressed up or down, and even if it gets a little wrinkly it’s totally acceptable. I love the crispy white color and how breezy and breathable the material is. This halter dress has the coolest nautical rope neckline {perfect for the beach!} and I love how it’s secured with a bow.
Since we were by the ocean I decided to play up a white on white look by adding this lightweight cardigan, also in linen! It can often get a little chilly by the beach, especially at sunset, so having an extra layer definitely comes in handy.
If you’re having a beach day, keep these wedges in your car to swap out with your flip flops for dinner. These t-strap wedges are so comfortable and help dress up the outfit a little bit. I love the tassels, another great summer detail!
