A Letter to My Baby - M Loves M

Dear Baby,

Today is your due date and it’s a day I’ve been looking forward to for exactly 8 months. We found out on December 29, 2015 that we were pregnant with you and this day seemed like an eternity away. I’ve actually been dreaming about you for so much longer though. I’ve prayed for years that one day God would bless me with you. That I would be able to be a mother, but not just any mother, your mother! I’ve felt you growing strong in my belly since 21 weeks and each kick and roll reminds me that you exist. I haven’t met you yet but I feel like I already know you. You’re mine and I’m yours forever. I hope you know how much you’ve already given me. You’ve given me so much to look forward to. I can’t wait to see your face, hold your hand, kiss your cheeks, and watch you become your own special person.

Your Daddy is just as excited as I am to meet you. Even though it’s a ways away he can’t wait to take you camping and surfing. He wants you to appreciate nature and the world, and love to adventure. I hope you develop his resourcefulness, loyalty and caring nature. I also hope you get his sense of humor. I know you two will be so sweet and silly together!

The other member of our family who is so excited to meet you is Ginger! She can’t wait to be your playmate. I’m sure she’ll be bringing you balls to throw her before you can even walk. She’ll give you so many kisses and provide you with lots of entertainment. She’ll be the best big {fur} sister!

One thing you have to know is that we’ve never done this before. We’re a little nervous and scared and want to do everything the right way, although I’m sure that doesn’t even exist. Every day at first is going to be all of us learning something new. Some days will be harder than others but I know we’ll get the hang of it! Luckily we have each other!

Our life is about to change forever and we absolutely can’t wait! We love you more than you will ever know, little one!

Love,

Your Mommy
