Over the past several months my friend Kelly LeVeque, who is an incredible health and wellness coach, has contributed information and recipes about different pregnancy superfoods. Whether or not you’re pregnant, these foods are so important to add to your diet. She makes it incredibly easy, too, with delicious recipes! Today Kelly is talking about Pregnancy Superfoods- Avocado and sharing a delicious and healthy recipe for an Avocado Hummus Dip.
Pregnancy Superfood #4- Avocado
from Kelly LeVeque:
Love hummus? Love guacamole? This is the best of both worlds. With a bite of garlic, earthy tahini, and fresh lemon, this dip is the perfect side for a veggie crudité. This dip nourishes from the inside out with loads of B6, Vitamin K, Folate, potassium, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C. It’s a dose of vitamins for pregnant mothers and the perfect replacement for those having a hard time with beans. The avocado is not only a vitamin powerhouse but it also contains 11 grams of fiber, which is close to half of the recommended dietary intake and the key to keeping things moving.
