Most nights I’m up at least three times, sometimes more, feeding Augustine. It’s our quiet, special time and even though I’m always exhausted every morning, I look forward to it.
I’ve always been a night owl and when I was juggling full-time job + blogging I was up most nights until 2am. For me, even though I would love to be a morning person, I’m so much more productive at nighttime. Even now as a mom, I can easily wake up for those 1, 2 or 3am feedings without a problem. But when 6am rolls around, I’m totally beat! It doesn’t help that it’s pitch dark outside, too. I keep trying to train myself to be a morning person but I haven’t cracked the code just yet. With Daylight Savings time ending this weekend though, I’m hoping I’ll be able to wake up a little bit easier since it will be light outside earlier. We’ll see, though. I have such mixed feelings about Daylight Savings time because I typically hate that it’s dark by 5pm. Do you like when Daylight Savings Time ends?

One thing I do like about Daylight Savings Time ending, though, is that we’re that much closer to the holidays! {Gosh how is it November?!} To celebrate, I’m breaking out my new sweater I’ve been dying to wear, along with this gorgeous plaid scarf. This scarf is so soft and light and it goes with everything since it has two of my favorite fall colors in it: navy & burgundy. {If you’re looking for new items in this fall color scheme, check out this post!}
What are you all up to this weekend, besides setting your clocks back an hour? Matthew and I are heading downtown today for a lunch date with friends who had their baby just a week after us. It will be nice to see them and commiserate about the newborn challenges they’re probably facing too {like all those nighttime feedings!}
Happy Friady everyone!
