Truth be told, I rarely have that many excuses to wear coats in the wintertime. We’re lucky that our weather in Los Angeles is pretty mild, but with the last few weeks of rain and chilly {for us} 50 degree temps, I desperately needed to layer up. I saw this lavender coat and thought it would be perfect for our late winter and early spring days. The material is nice and heavy and it looks way more expensive than it is! I paired the coat with this striped turtleneck top that I wear way too much, my favorite jeans, and these over-the-knee boots. Oh, and since one of my favorite ways to layer is with a scarf, I added in this chunky fringe infinity scarf!

I hope you all are having a great week! Yesterday was the first real time I’ve been out with Augustine on my own. I know that seems crazy because he’s almost 5 months old but with my back issues it’s been so hard to lift the car seat in and out of the car. Those things are heavy! Since my back has been feeling better, though, I thought I’d give it a try. And, let me tell you, it felt sooo nice to get out of the house. You take that sort of “go wherever you want, whenever you want” freedom for granted until you have a little baby to think of. Now I’m feeling like I want to plan some fun outings just the two of us, especially since he’s not really on any type of sleep schedule yet. Even going out to get a coffee sounds so exciting. I’m telling you, it’s the little things that I look forward to these days!
