Mother’s Day is just around the corner and this year is extra special since it’s my first official Mother’s Day. Last year I was carrying a baby around in my stomach, so we just quietly acknowledged it, greatly anticipating this year. Now that Augustine is here, and maybe, possibly, kinda mumbling “mama”, Mother’s Day feels a lot more real to me. I’m also looking forward to celebrating my own special mom, who is now a Grandma, and Matthew’s mom too! Since becoming a mother I feel like I have such a stronger appreciation for everything my mom did for me growing up. I know that will only grow as I delve deeper into my motherhood journey.

For all the moms that love to cook and bake, this floral recipe tin is a must have! It’s one of those recipe boxes that you can leave out on your counter {and want to leave out!} because it’s so pretty. While I save a ton of recipes online {especially on Pinterest}, there’s something special about old family favorites written on ink and tucked away in a box for easy access. Over Easter, we made my Grandmother’s Portuguese Sweet Bread recipe and I loved seeing the recipe written in her elegant handwriting. And of course the batter stained paper made it even more heartwarming! This lemon-printed apron would be a great addition to the recipe box, as well! I’m always getting my apron dirty and this one is light and fresh for spring. Makes me crave some homemade lemonade too!

If your mama is domestic she might like this book,The Year of Cozy.” I peeked through it the other day and there are so many sweet crafts and recipes inside. I also love this white link pitcher from the AERIN for Williams-Sonoma Collection. It’s simple yet so unique and would be perfect on any spring or summer dinner table.

A fashion-obsessed mama would love this trendy raffia and pom clutch {I want this so badly!}, and this sweet little floral card holder. Monogramming adds a personal touch if you go with this tortoise cuff. One of the things I love about tortoise is how versatile it is; you could wear it every day!

And when in doubt, write a card! Something thoughtful and handwritten always goes a long way. I’m {not so} secretly excited for Augustine to write me a Mother’s Day card. I can’t wait to see his cute little scribbles on paper. Preferably with an “I Love You.”
