Last weekend I went to the mall to do some back to school/back to life shopping! Do any of you love to shop for fall? It probably goes back to the days of shopping for back to school but it was always something to look forward to when summer was coming to an end. I thought I’d take you along on my dressing room diaries and break down all the things I tried on, what I loved, what I hated, and what I bought.
BACK TO SCHOOL DRESSING ROOM DIARIES

BP Hooded Anorak – Size S
I love the military inspired look and this olive color is a must for the fall! The material is really light so would be great to travel with.
BP Side Slit Tee – Size S featured underneath.
Perfect if you’re in the mood to be comfortable, but still cute. The length seemed a little too long for me though, but I think I’d like it more with leggings in fall or winter!
Project Social T Ribbed Tee – Size S
The ribbed material and distressed edges could give an upgrade to your normal jeans-and-a-tshirt outfit! I wished the shirt was a few inches longer but I loved how comfortable it was.
BP Hooded Cotton Anorak – Size S
Camo is so in right now and this jacket would look great with so many outfits! Super lightweight too!
Free People Saturday Morning Cardigan – Size XS/S
Still feel cozy but cute by pairing this with a cute blouse and some jeans! I loved how soft this sweater was! I know I would wear it a TON!
Free People Erin Minidress – Size S featured underneath.
This dress did not fit me AT ALL! Maybe I would need to size down, but it was really loose in the back, and I couldn’t secure the ties properly. I was hoping this would have been a winner but I think the fit was totally off.
Free People All I Got Maxi Dress – Size 2
The perfect maxi! The deep V and tie at the waist make it feel so feminine and boho! I had to get this dress. I loved the white version for spring, and this one is perfect for fall!
Rebecca Taylor Petal Sleeve Silk & Tweed Dress – Size 2
I always love Rebecca Taylor even though her price points are a little high. The quality is amazing though. I love how pretty this dress was with the silky material on top and the tweed skirt being so flattering. I couldn’t justify the cost right now but it’s on my wishlist!
Socialite Poplin Sleeve Knit Dress – Size S
An update on your simple black dress! The bow details on the sleeves make it easy to throw this on with pretty much any shoes! I really loved this dress!
Articles of Society Sarah Skinny Jeans – Size 26
The fading and distressed look to these jeans can make a trendy update to any outfit! This pair is affordable too!
Dee Elly Knot Front Sheath Dress – Size S
Wasn’t crazy about this dress. Quality seemed a little off, along with the fit.
Cupcakes and Cashmere Faux Suede Moto Jacket – Size S
A brown suede jacket is the ultimate cool girl staple item for your fall wardrobe! It is so versatile and would make any outfit so much more stylish by adding it.
Soprano High Neck Shift Dress – Size S
This dress could easily go from day to night by being styled with either a cute pair of sandals or sneakers then swapped out for heels and some earrings! The material is almost like a suede so my only concern is that it will be hard to get the wrinkles out.
Cotton Emporium Sweatshirt Choker Dress – Size S
This dress felt so cheap and thin. Not a fan!
Free People So Obviously Yours Bell Sleeve Top – Size S
This would be so classic and feminine styled with a skirt! Loved how fun the sleeves were!
STS Blue Emma Ankle Zip Skinny – Size 26
Loved these jeans! Really comfortable and flattering! Also so good for the price. Only $55!
Hinge Babydoll Dress – Size S
I got this one too! I love the loose fit, as well as the extra coverage with the slip underneath. Plus this color is one of my favorites!

Ruffle Chambray Short – Size 2 & V-Neck T-Shirt in Supima Cotton – Size M
This is the best white v-neck ever! It is so soft and you’ll find yourself wearing it with pretty much any outfit! I sized up for a looser fit. The shorts aren’t really fall shorts but you could add a sweater if you wanted on a cooler day!
Crewneck Sweater with Fringe – Size S
This cabernet color screams fall and would be so easy and cute to layer with a blouse and some jeans!
Camouflage Utility Shirt-Jacket – Size XS
This jacket would be so cute mixed over a striped top and jeans! It’s like your favorite denim jacket but in camo!
Toothpick Jean in Lyric Wash – Size 26
Because everyone needs a pair of super flattering skinny jeans!
Tippi Sweater in Camouflage – Size S
This sweater could be your go-to this fall if you want to look cute, but don’t have much time to put together an outfit. Love the idea of tucking it into a fuller skirt!

Wide-Leg Crop Jeans in Bainbridge Wash – Size 25
These jeans are totally comfortable and would look super cute with a tight t-shirt tucked in! I wasn’t sure what I’d think about them but I actually really loved them! I’d wear them with slide or mules.
Loop-Edge Pullover Sweater– Size S
This sweater was so soft and cozy that I had to get it! I actually love how it looks with these wider pants too!
10″ High-Rise Skinny Jeans in Danny Wash – Size 25
These are some of the most flattering jeans out there, and they’re so comfortable. I actually prefer them to the J.Crew ones I tried on. Could be so easily styled with just about anything. The wash makes the jeans look especially slimming too!
Off-the-Shoulder Texture Top – Size S
You know I love off-the-shoulder tops and because this one is so basic and comfortable it could go with almost any outfit and for any occasion! The length is a little shorter so it worked with these high waisted jeans, but might be a little too cropped for a regular style. Just an FYI!
Central Shirt in Pure White – Size XS
Regretting not getting this top! I love the tile detail and the looser fit. It would look good with anything! And it’s also BF-friendly!
Cali Demi-Boot Jeans – Size 25
These jeans just weren’t flattering on me at all. They were kind of fitted through the thigh and then there was a little flare at the hem. The kick flare is super in right now though, but if you’re not interested in something so extreme, this might be a good option!
Gingham Ruffle Dress – Size 2
Such a good transition piece from summer to fall! Reminds me of this one I wore the other day! This style could easily be worn with some white sneakers for a warm day, or tights, boots and a sweater when it gets a little bit colder out.
