I am so happy to be sharing my everyday skincare routine with you! My morning skincare routine is something I’m very passionate about, mainly because I’ve found a combination of products that work really well for me. I love trying new products but I try to give them at least 2-3 weeks to work their magic before sharing with you all. I want to make sure I have things to say about how my skin is reacting and if there are any differences I’ve noticed.
This routine in particular is one I’ve used consistently for the past three months, except when I’m fighting breakouts, I think it’s worked really well for me and my skin, but I’m right about to switch things up a bit, a changing of the guards if you will, since I’m close to running out of a few of these products.
Be warned that my routine may seem long to some, but there are definitely steps you can cut out if you wish. I’m just super into skincare and love using the whole lineup!
Be good to your skin. You’ll wear it every day for the rest of your life

My Morning Skincare Routine
STEP 1
First thing I do when I wake up is wash my face. I like to wash off any residue and oils from the night before. This Kiehl’s Calendula Cleanser is amazing! It’s so lightweight and doesn’t clog my pores. I use it both for morning and night. {For my nighttime routine, I will preface my cleanser with the Erborian Solid Cleansing Oil to remove my makeup. This is so easy to use and works really well. I scoop a small amount out and rub into my skin to make sure I loosen up my makeup and then wash off with the cleanser.}
STEP 2
After I cleanse and pat my face dry, I apply the Pixi Glow Tonic with a cotton swab all over my face. The toner helps neutralize your skin’s pH levels. I got this toner because I had heard the best things and I do see a difference in the brightness and glow of my skin. Plus it smells amazing!
STEP 3
I then use the SK-II Facial Essence by spraying it into my palms and patting it onto my face. This is another product that helps restore brightness and firmness into my skin. I love using this as a refresher even once I have my makeup on to freshen up my skin during the day. It is on the pricier side but a little goes a long way. You’ll have to check out some of the reviews, too!
STEP 4
What’s a good skincare routine without some serums, am I right? I attended a lunch a few months ago with Skinceuticals and found out all about environmental aging. They gave me some products to test out and I’m now at the end of them. So sad because I have loved their products and think they made such a difference. These are investment serums but after learning all the research and testing that goes into them, I really believe in their products. Also, if you’re going to splurge anywhere, I personally think it should be in an active serum. Skinceuticals does a lot of research and testing and they have proof that while some products just sit on your skin, theirs are actually absorbed into your skin so that they can be active and create change.
I absolutely love the C E Ferulic and H.A. Intensifier. The C E Ferulic has Vitamin C in it and prevents against aging by producing up to 8x the normal skin’s natural photoaging protection. The H.A. Intensifier contains hyaluronic acid which restores moisture back into your skin that would be lost regularly throughout the day. I noticed a big improvement in my skin when using these products. I felt like I could almost go without makeup too because my skin just looked a lot more vibrant and healthy. If you only can afford one I’d go with the C E Ferulic, but they’re both two of my must-haves!
STEP 5
Eye cream is a must for me! I wish I had started using a preventive eye cream before I needed it, so I suggest starting as soon as possible on this step. I use this Vichy Liftactiv Eye Cream to reduce puffiness and dark circles since we all know I need it with the amount of sleep I get {or don’t get}. I really love this product, it goes on like butter and it’s sensitive enough for both the under eye and eye lid areas.
STEP 6
Last but not least, I moisturize. Kate Somerville is one of my all-time favorite lines and I can’t get enough of the Daily Deflector Moisturizer, as you can tell by the almost empty tube. This daily moisturizer provides optimal hydration but also SPF of sun protection which is a MUST for living in Southern California. I love a mosturizer + SPF combo because it helps minimize the products I put on my skin. Obviously, my routine is long enough, right?!
STEP 7
As a bonus step, I’ve been using the Plume Brow and Lash Enhancer for the past few weeks. I apply this on my lash line and brows to help promote hair growth. I’ve always wanted longer lashes and fuller brows so I’m hoping I see a difference. I’ll keep you all posted on how it works, if you’re interested!
Wow ok those were a lot of steps but I really love anything skin related so this is a routine I enjoy doing. I hope you liked this post and can hopefully take away some new products to try. This routine is what works best with my skin but even knowing the specific steps to take can go a long way. Maybe I’ll share my nighttime skincare routine soon? Let me know if you’d be interested in that! Are there any products in your routine you swear by?
