Going to the grocery store is one of my favorite errands, especially when it means going to Trader Joe’s. Anyone else obsessed with that store? I get most of our fresh produce from Whole Foods or the Farmer’s Market because it’s a little fresher, but Trader Joe’s has such good staples, not to mention their ‘Trader Joe’s Only” products. After doing my InstaLive over the weekend I got some requests for a Trader Joe’s haul. I thought I’d share some of my favorite products that we get there in case you’re looking for new ones to try!
Love shopping at Trader Joe’s around the holidays. Their seasonal items are so good! Thinking about maybe doing a holiday specific haul. Let me know if you would be interested in that!
My Trader Joe’s Staples
Produce
As I mentioned, I prefer to buy our fruits and veggies at Whole Foods or the Farmer’s Market, but if I need to get something from TJs, this is what I usually get
Baby Spinach – perfect for smoothies and cooking with
Organic Herb Spring Mix- one of our favorite salad mixes
Riced Cauliflower/Broccoli
Bell Peppers- a much better deal here than anywhere else
Organic Berries
Bananas {only 0.19!} – We always get a bunch of these and we’ll freeze them for smoothies
Pearl Cherry Tomatoes- Love adding to salads or roasting
Dairy
Dairy is one of our TJ go-tos because the prices are so good!
Organic Eggs
Pastures of Eden Feta Cheese- this is the best feta cheese ever! We add to the herbed salad mix, but I’ll also add to grain bowls and eggplant and red onion sandwiches.
Creme Fraiche French Cultured Cream- If you want a good creme fraiche this is the one!
Organic Half & Half
Burrata Cheese {my favorite}- My go to appetizer is roasted cherry tomaotes with this cheese and some basil and olive oil
Raw Milk Cheddar Cheese/Cheddar Cheese/ Monterey Jack- the prices on these cheeses is the best! Usually only $3!
Snacks
Black Bean and Cheese Taquitos- I love these taquitos so much I made a recipe inspired by them! They are delicious with guacamole, sour cream and salsa {like the Salsa Especial!}
Mediterranean Hummus- Love all their hummus but this one is delicious, especially with the pine nuts and spices on top!
Cheese & Green Chile Tamales- One of my favorites since high school years! A great easy lunch!
Popcorn with Herbs and Spices- Love the salty & herbaceous taste of this popcorn!
Spanikopita {Frozen}- One of my go-to party appetizers!
Frozen Berries- Always have these on hand for smoothiesBite Size Everything Crackers
Bite Size Everything Crackers- SO good with cheese!
Sweets + Treats
Cold Brew Coffee- dilute with regular water and add some almond milk!
Pumpkin Spice Coffee- I went the other day and they were sold out! Need to go back because I love this coffee!
Raw Sliced Almonds – These are great to add to salads or oatmeal!
Almond Croissants- one of my favorite frozen treats! Put them out the night before to rise and then bake in the morning.
Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies- Another high school fave! So perfectly crispy, you can’t eat just 1 (or 10!)…
Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups {these are to die for}- Always craving these!
Coffee Bean Ice Cream- one of the best coffee ice creams I’ve had!
The Dark Chocolate Lover’s Chocolate Bar
Condiments
Organic Coconut Oil – one of my cooking staples!
Organic Vegetable Broth
Mixed Nut Butter- best combo of almonds, cashews, walnuts, hazelnuts, brazil nuts and pecans!
Any of their other nut butters- We always get peanut butter and almond butter from TJs
Everything But Bagel Seasoning- tried this cult-fave the other month and it’s really good! I’ve been adding it to my avocado toast!
Rustico Marinara Sauce- Such a good staple
Homestyle Salsa Medium- Love all of their salsas. This one is delish, as is their Salsa Especial and the Roasted Tomatillo.
Grains
10 Minute Farro- Use this for an easy dinner side, or I’ll meal prep a Mediterranean style salad with this farro that I can have during the week
Lentils- Love their lentils. Even the ones in the refrigerated case are great in a pinch!
Low Sodium or Sesame Ezekiel Bread- Lately I’ve been really into Ezekial Bread. It’s definitely not the same as a soft wheat, but it still works and it’s a little healthier
Organic Flour Tortilla- I recently tried these tortillas and loved them! Usually I stay away from TJs tortillas because they’re not at as good, but this one really impressed me. I was into the OCrn and Wheat Tortillas for awhile but I needed a break.
White Quinoa
Kashi Organic Autumn Wheat Cereal- I think most of Trader Joe’s cereals are too sugary, but this Kashi cereal is a better option. You can also find this at other grocery stores but it’s a little cheaper at TJs.
Another thing I really like about Trader Joe’s, besides the samples, is that they share exclusive recipes on their website using their products. They even have a cookbook that I’ve thought about getting. The only thing holding me back is that it has a lot of meat recipes so I wouldn’t be able to make half the dishes in there. But that’s why the website recipes are great too!

P.S. Don’t forget to buy yourself some flowers next time you shop at Trader Joe’s! They’re way more affordable than at other grocery stores.
