Hawaii here we come! We’re leaving on Sunday and while I’m excited, I’m also a little nervous. Hawaii is one of our happy places, and while Matthew and I are both looking forward to experiencing island life with Augustine, we know it’s going to be a different trip than we’re used to. We won’t be able to do quite as much as if it was just the two of us, but I’m thinking it’s still going to be a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see Augustine talk along the sand and I think he’ll need his own little lei!
Today and tomorrow we are doing tons of packing, for Augustine and for us. I had all these plans to bring bathing suits and cute cover-ups, but I’ll be lucky if I can wear them. The forecast is..just you wait…thunderstorms. The whole week! I’m praying that they’ll be sporadic, and maybe in the middle of the night? Either way, we’ll make the most of it. I might have to bring my rainboots though! And find a pair for Augustine!
I have a few posts planned for next week but I’m really looking forward to taking some time off and just relaxing with my people. 2018 is really a year I want to focus on personal health and wellbeing and sometimes that means knowing when to close the computer and turn off the phone. I’m excited to take lots of photos and share stories when we get back, though. I had lots of great tips on traveling with a baby/toddler so that’s a post I’ll definitely be doing. If any of you have any other tips for me, or recommendations for Kauai, let me know! It will be a memorable first trip, I already know it!
These items above are giving me vacay vibes but they are going to be great for spring too! I’ve been obsessed with these sandals and can’t wait to get a pair. The only question is, which color? These colorful earrings are so cute and would be great with a bright outfit, or something more neutral. I have this bag in another color and I love how useful it is for beach days, or even trips to the farmers market. Plus, when it’s not in use, it looks so cute lying around the house.
