End of Summer Style + Things We Did & Loved

My end of summer style. | M Loves M @marmar

All of a sudden Labor Day is over and it feels like summer is too! The thing is, in Southern California, the weather doesn’t switch over that quickly. I’ve been celebrating end of summer style with easy dresses and sandal outfits that work for hot September days. I love this floral dress in particular because I feel like it looks fall appropriate with the color scheme. And I’m not sure if you can tell but the flutter sleeves and tiered skirt are such pretty details. Sharing some of  my end of summer style faves below if you want to take a look!

When thinking of end of summer style, choose easy transitional dresses {see some favorites below}. You want to stay cool, so sometimes a dress is the best way to do that! I think this one, in particular, will transition really well for fall with a cardigan sweater and ankle booties.

I’m sad to say goodbye to summer, although I’m really excited for fall since it’s my favorite season! I’m looking back at the things I loved most about this summer and I’d have to say it’s all the time we spent together as a family. We didn’t do everything on our summer bucket list, but we made a good attempt! I’m so glad we were able to make some fun trips, like going to San Diego for the 4th of July and Lake Tahoe for Labor Day. We spend hot summer evenings at the beach, ate dinners outside, and were busy growing herbs and vegetables in our garden. While we had a good summer, to be honest, it was a little too hot for me, and being pregnant in my first trimester didn’t help! I’m definitely looking forward to cooler fall days, whenever Mother Nature gets the memo!
