I can’t believe it’s already time for another round of my monthly beauty picks and reviews! This month I am so obsessed with the idea of smooth skin, hair, and lips. My theory is, if you have healthy hair and skin, the less time and effort you need to spend on makeup and styling your hair. That’s an excuse for always trying new products right?!
NOVEMBER BEAUTY: SMOOTH SKIN, HAIR & LIPS
Moroccan Oil Beach Wave Mousse
I can’t wait to try out this mousse by Moroccan Oil! Apparently, all you have to do is apply the mousse to wet hair to achieve effortless beach waves. This product would be ideal on days when I’m in a hurry or am going for a more natural look!
I’ve heard this is the perfect gentle cleanser for everyday use thanks to the avocado and apricot kernel oil packed formula. I’ve always had great experiences with Kiehl’s products, so I hope this cleanser will be no different. I’m banking that this product can remove my makeup without stripping my skin like it promises!
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Glow Moisturizer
I’ve been a fan of Kate Somerville’s ExfoliKate for years and am so excited to try this corresponding moisturizer. The moisturizer pairs with the classic exfoliant to help reduce surface dullness, uneven skin and the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Sounds pretty darn good to me!
Philosophy Ultimate Miracle Worker Lip Fix
Multi-tasking is pretty much a necessity for me these days and luckily this product does just that. Designed to help smooth, moisturize, and plump, this product might just be a dream come true. It should be the perfect base for all the red lipsticks I love to wear!
This at-home peel is supposed to be super easy to use and only takes a few minutes. I never make it to the spa for facials, so hopefully this at home peel will do the trick! I’ve had some of my blogger friends rave about it so I can’t wait to put it to the test!
OCTOBER RECAP: SKIN BRIGHTENING & HEALING
Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins
I have loved using this nighttime cream from Origins. Origins seriously makes some of my favorite products and this might be a new fave. I love the citrus scent and it feels so good on my skin. It’s a 2-in-1 product: an overnight moisturizer + peel. I always feel like I wake up with softer and smoother skin. This month especially my skin has been crazy soft which I’m thinking is because of this moisturizer and serum combo!
Skinfix Calm & Rejuvenate Eye Cream
This is a great eye cream but I’ll say one thing: looks can be deceiving! I JUST finished this eye cream which means I used one jar in a month. Usually it takes me 2-3 months to go through eye cream. The container looks like it holds a lot more product than it actually does. I did like this eye cream, but I will say I felt a little jipped on the size.
Vichy LIFTACTIV Serum 10 Supreme
Another winner from Vichy! I’ve been loving this serum – it dispenses the perfect amount of product and goes on so smoothly. I feel like it absorbs really well into my skin, and like I mentioned above, my skin has been the softest ever this month!
Jouer Essential High Coverage Liquid Concealer
I’m so glad I tested out this concealer because I’ve been looking for a new one! This one from Jouer gives excellent coverage while not feeling too heavy. If any of you are tired like moi, try it out. Dark circles, be gone!
Dermalogica Clear Start Blackhead Clearing Fizz Mask
Ok this is such an interesting product and definitely an experience. You apply this cream lotion to your face and almost instantly you start to feel these fizzy bubbles start to form. The mask puffs up making your face look a little bit like Santa’s in December, but then the bubbles start to pop and disappear. It feels so fun! I’m not totally sure how well it actually gets rid of blackheads though but I like that it’s a quick and easy mask to do.
