October 3, 2018

I'm trying these skin brightening products! | M Loves M @marmar

I’m not sure if it’s the back to school vibes or all of the chances to update my wardrobe, but fall always feels like a good time for a fresh start. I don’t think my skin deserves to miss out on all the fun! Which is why this month I’m giving some skin brightening and healing products a try. Keep reading to see which beauty products I’m trying this month and what I thought of last month’s products!

Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins

Who doesn’t love a time-saving hack? This 2-in-1 overnight moisturizer and peel should take care of all my skincare needs in one go. It’s packed full of vitamins such as B, C, and E and essential oils of valerian and vanilla to refresh and resurface skin.

Skinfix Calm & Rejuvenate Eye Cream

This eye cream is 98% natural and is supposed to be great for dry skin around your eyes. I love that this cream uses macadamia and jojoba to hydrate your skin in a healthy way. Such a must-have for late nights!

Vichy LIFTACTIV Serum 10 Supreme

I’m so excited to try this serum. It’s Vichy’s best selling anti-aging serum and was designed to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The formula is apparently gentle on sensitive skin, so hopefully it will fit seamlessly into my skincare routine. I’ve been a HUGE fan of Vichy in the past so I’m especially excited about this product!

Jouer Essential High Coverage Liquid Concealer

While my skin is getting a little R&R, I’ll be reaching for this concealer for any spots that need a little extra coverage until they heal. With so many different shades to choose from {25 to be exact!}, it was pretty easy to find a match for my skin tone: Creme Cafe.

Dermalogica Clear Start Blackhead Clearing Fizz Mask

Ok, I may have chosen this product just because it sounded fun! This mask is a part of Dermalogica’s “clear start” line {so on theme!} and the fizzing formula is designed to help eliminate blackheads. I read reviews saying this mask really helps to clear pores just after a few uses, so I could not be more ready to try it out!

SEPTEMBER RECAP: SUMMER HAIR AND SKIN FIXES

Kerastase Nutritive Masquintense

This hair mask totally lived up to the hype! Apparently, 1 is sold every X amount of seconds (30 maybe? I can’t remember but I know it was impressive when I read it!). I loved how this mask made my hair silky smooth and tangle free. Plus I felt like I got a good shine from it!

Naturally Serious Mask-Imum Revival Hydra-Plumping Mask

This mask is SO good you guys! I try masks quite a bit, and to be honest, it’s been hard to find one that I love as much as this one. However, we might have a winner, or a tie-contender, with this hydra-plumping mask. I love how it felt going on, the smell is amazing, but most importantly I felt like my skin just glowed the next day. I would definitely recommend this mask! It also has an anti-pollution blend of six anti-oxidants that help fight visible signs of aging caused by UV rays and pollution. Plus, it’s a clean brand which I especially love!

G.Tox 5 Salt Detox Body Scrub

This scrub smells amazing and I loved using it during my morning showers in particular. I feel like the combination of the smell and the exfoliating power of the scrub totally wakes me up in the morning. It’s great at getting rid of self-tanner marks, as well as sloughing off dry skin. I’m hoping I don’t go through this one too quickly!

Sara Happ The Lip Scrub

Every girl needs a good lip scrub and I’ve loved using this coconut one! It became a weekly {and sometimes bi-weekly} part of my routine. I feel like using a lip scrub is great if you’re a frequent lipstick wearer like I am. Plus, who doesn’t like soft lips??

Ole Henriksen Glow Cycle Retin-ALT Power Serum

This is such an interesting serum because it’s purple! I’ve never used one like that before. It blends in with your skin though and I love how it smells. It’s made with a natural retinol alternative which is perfect if you’re pregnant/breastfeeding since that’s a skincare ingredient we’re supposed to avoid. The serum targets fine lines, wrinkles, pores, and dark spots but I was most impressed with how it brightened my skin. I’m a huge fan of this brand {oviously if you read about the masks above}, so I was so happy to try out this product. I can’t wait to continue using it!
