As I mentioned in this recent travel inspired style roundup, I have major spring fever! It was so beautiful in SoCal this weekend. We had a record cold spell this winter and it ended just in time for spring to start. I’ve been daydreaming about all of the places I want to travel to and thought it would be fun to share my travel bucket list with you all!
7 Destinations on My Travel Bucket List
Ireland
My mom’s family is from Ireland so I’ve always thought this would be a special place to visit. I think fall or spring would be an ideal time to visit. Of course St. Patrick’s Day would have been fun! I’d love to do a mix of cities like Dublin and the countryside as well as the gorgeous beaches. It really seems like the perfect blend of nature, history, and city options!
Tulum Mexico
Tulum is trendy for a reason right now, it’s a gorgeous location with so much history and culture. I’ve actually never even been to Mexico which is kind of crazy because I grew up in Southern California! I just love the idea of relaxing on a pretty beach with a margarita {I’m so close to being able to have a cocktail again!} and lots of fresh chips and guac! Augustine loves the beach, so I feel like this could be a really fun family trip.
Greece
All the photos I’ve seen of Greece look insanely gorgeous. I also just rewatched Mamma Mia! again {such a good movie!} which gave me all the Mediterranean vibes! This would be the perfect summertime vacation and I love that we could mix relaxing days at the beach with more serious historical sightseeing. Also, I love Greek food, so that’s just a bonus!
Paris
I’ve been to Paris with my family before in the winter, but I can’t wait to go with Matthew since he’s never been. I’d love to go when all of the cherry blossom trees are in bloom in the spring. And of course Augustine because he would LOVE the “sants” aka croissants. I’m already telling him to tell Matthew we need to plan a trip. Maybe next year!
Fall East Coast Road Trip
While I love Southern California, the one thing I wish we had was a real fall season. I want to see all the trees changing colors, drink apple cider, and experience a true fall. Oh, and eat a really good lobster roll of course! I think I’m ready to embrace a preppy East Coast-inspired wardrobe too. Bring on the sweaters, scarves, corduroy and plaid! Boston or Nantucket would be a dream!
Connecticut
After reading my friend Julia’s travel guide featuring Fairfield County, Connecticut, I have been itching to take a trip there. Similar to doing an East Coast fall trip, I think a beach one in the summer would be pretty dreamy too.
Texas
I’ve also featured a few Texas gals in the My Perfect Day series, and now I think it’s time our family heads to the Lone Star state. There seems to be a great mix of adult and children appropriate activities in Texas so I feel like it would be such a fun family trip! The only question would be, where would we go? Here are some recent travel guides to Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth!
CUTE TRAVEL ESSENTIALS
Some of my favorite places I’ve ever been to were Portugal, Italy for our honeymoon, and Maui for our babymoon! My family has also always loved visiting Lake Tahoe in the summer. What’s on your travel bucket list? What destinations have you absolutely loved visiting?! Enable my wanderlust below!
