It’s finally that time of the year again! The 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is quickly approaching, so I wanted to round up some of my top tips for shopping the sale. It’s a great opportunity to shop new styles at a discount. I even found some extra ways to save even more money!

Why is this the best sale of the year? Big sales can often be overwhelming for me, especially when I have to scour the picked over sales from past seasons, but I love the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale because it consists of all new items for the Fall and Winter that go on sale immediately! It’s such an amazing deal, so you can’t miss out on it! Because this is their biggest sale of the year, a lot of the items will sell out extremely fast, so I have some great tips and tricks to help you shop the sale! Even though the sale hasn’t gone live yet, you can always get a good idea of what will be on sale by looking through their catalog.
Gain Early Access to the Sale
If you are apart of the Nordy Club, you gain early access to the sale SEVEN days early, and it’s SO worth it! When the sale goes live for everybody, sometimes the best items are already pretty picked through, so if you want the absolute best deals and your pick of sizes, I would highly recommend joining the Nordy Club! You can sign up here! I have recently become a Nordstrom Rewards member and get points towards every dollar I spend at Nordstrom, and it’s amazing how rapidly the points add up! If you’re an avid Nordstrom shopper or just want to score big on the anniversary sale, I would definitely sign up to become a rewards member.
Check the Catalog Beforehand
It’s always good to check the Nordstrom catalog right before the sale starts, because you’re guaranteed to see some items that will be part of the sale! Usually, the anniversary sale features great denim, bras and underwear, activewear, booties and athletic shoes, sweaters and cardigans, and much more! From years of shopping this sale, I can tell you it’s a great time to purchase pricier fall items like coats. It’s great buying coats on sale at the end of the season, but then you have to wait a whole year to wear them! This sale solves this problem. You can also check out my past posts about the sale to get an idea of what to add to your shopping list! Sometimes they have the exact same styles available from last year. So if you see something from past sales you love, keep an eye on it! My favorite nude bra usually goes on sale, FYI!
Shop the Sale Online
Shopping online is such a game changer when it comes to this sale because it can get quite hectic going in the store! You can get the best deals from the comfort of your home without any crowds! I always like to shop this sale online, especially because I can take care of Augustine and Corinna at home while buying all of the items on my wishlist. What’s even better is that Nordstrom is the best when it comes to returns and exchanges, so if you bought something from the sale that doesn’t fit or wasn’t what you expected, it’s so easy to return it either in-store or through the mail.
