Transitioning from season to season can be challenging to dress for, especially if it’s cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon. That’s my situation in Southern California, especially living close to the beach. We get these chilly, foggy mornings and then these hot afternoons. It makes getting dressed a little challenging so I reached out to my Trunk Club stylist Carolyn to pick some layering pieces that would help me look cute as the weather shifts from summer to fall. A Customizable Outfit For Any Season
The temperatures are changing and I couldn’t be more excited! Fall is my favorite season and while Southern California doesn’t get too chilly, living by the beach allows me to layer a little bit more. I’ve talked countless times before about my love for Trunk Club {it’s an incredible service where you work with a stylist and they send you a curated trunk – with your approval, and you can keep/return what you like and don’t}. I’ll get into more details later if you’re curious but basically it’s helped me find some stylish outfits for different occasions – no malls required! I love it! But anyway, I reached out to my stylist Carolyn to put together a Seasonal Trunk with a bunch of items that would be great to layer with. She included the best layering turtleneck, the coziest sweater, a versatile scarf, and some great tees! She also included these mules that go with practically any outfit!
Trunk Club has a huge range of items at their disposal so I’m always impressed how Carolyn, my Stylist, can pick out the perfect pieces that are the most “me.” I messaged her on my app telling her what I was looking for, and within a few days she had an amazing Trunk picked out to send. I looked it over, told her to exclude a denim dress since I already had a similar one, and we were good to go! It’s nice that you know exactly what you’re getting so I was definitely looking forward to this mail day!
When I got the Trunk I tried on everything but of course I was immediately drawn to the polka dot skirt. The length is so perfect and could be worn for work or play. As I was looking through the rest of the Trunk, and trying everything on, I realized that this skirt would look so cute with the tank, the sweater, the jacket, and even the scarf! I was like, “Hey! I need to show you guys how this outfit can be worn differently depending on your weather!” So that’s what I’m doing today! One outfit 4 different ways, depending on the weather where you live! You agree to what you want them to send, or ask to switch out some pieces. You get your Trunk in the mail, and then have 5 days to try everything on and decide what to keep. Anything you don’t want gets set back, at no charge. If you don’t want anything, no worries, the Trunk can be sent back and you just pay the $25 styling fee (waived if you have a Nordstrom card).
