Personalized Home Items to Refresh Your Decor
I’ve been spending a lot of time at home lately, so we’ve been making some small refreshes around the house {I’ll be sharing our painting experience in a blog post soon!}. I can’t believe we’ve lived in this home for over two years. Now that we’ve done some renovations {my favorite is still the kids’ bathroom} and have mostly decorated in our style, I’m really starting to feel like our house is a home. I’ve found a fun way to make a new space {like an apartment or dorm room!} feel really homey is by adding in some personalized home items. I love a good monogram or fun touches like his and hers towels. I got the towels shown above from a company called Weezie and love how fun the process of customizing my towels was. Plus they are super soft. They would make such a cute wedding gift. So would a matching set of these monogrammed robes!
One personalized home item I get asked about a lot is Augustine’s star poster. It maps the night sky based on the location and time of his birth. How cool is that?? You could also make one for an anniversary or other important date. I really want to get Corinna a matching one this year. There are tons of cute star map options on Etsy. I really like this slightly artsy version! Etsy has basically any customizable item you want. These stocking hangers would make such great holiday gifts. And this fun art set would be so cute above your bed if you’re married!
Cute desk accessories can dress up a home office or an out of home office. This desk calendar and this notebook can be customized with a bunch of different fonts and colors. You don’t have to stick with just a monogram. They’re from The Daily Edited, a brand I love that makes the chicest monogramed handbags and accessories. They aren’t cheesy at all. Some shops that only sell customizable goods definitely can be.
