This spring we've been making sourdough bread starter, baking and cooking up a storm, adjusting to working from home with kids, and enjoying lots of family time! Plus shopping the online sales of course! - M Loves M @marmar

Hi Friends! I almost didn’t share an update for April because ah it’s been a month right?! I feel like most of the time I go through various emotions- from fear and uncertainty regarding our future, the happiness of being together as a family, and sadness for our community, country, and world. This is definitely not an easy time that we’re living in and I hope that all of you are taking care of yourselves as best you can! I’m going to share some of the highlights from this month though because there was a lot of sweet memories that I want to hold onto!

EASTER 2020

Between the rain, we had some clear skies for Easter. I baked cinnamon rolls and Augustine ran around the backyard searching for Easter eggs. He wanted to do hunt after hunt! We watched a few different online services that really spoke to us. If you’re looking for a service to watch this weekend, check out some of these churches who do a great job with their streaming services. I’ve especially loved the messages they’ve shared over the past 6 weeks. The Village Church . Good Shepherd New York . Calvary Church . Harvest Church . Redeemer NYC . And as a related side note, spending more time reading the Bible has helped bring me so much peace. I can’t recommend it enough. Try getting a daily devotional {this is the one I’ve had for the past few years} and let it be a part of your mornings. It’s something small that is so profound!

My little trio: Augustine, Corinna, and Ginger Dog

This was a big month for baking because I started using a sourdough starter! I have been so impressed with how it’s turned out, and while it’s a little bit of work, it’s been so worth it. Here are my tips for getting started with sourdough bread in case you missed it!

Braised cherry tomatoes with garlic and added them to a bowl with burrata cheese with some spices! So good on homemade bread, let me tell ya! Wine: optional (but recommended!)

We’ve been doing a lot of baking, in case you couldn’t tell! I made our favorite Vegan Banana Muffins a few times and shared the recipe on Instagram!

I did a little shopping for spring/summer because it’s finally warming up! This dress has been on my wishlist and it’s even prettier in person! It’s a bit of a splurge but I had a gift card I wanted to use up! Btw, I think the sizing is true to size!

Cute espadrille sneakers! Love the striped laces, although they also come with solid ones too! Also, I really really love them in white!

Corinna helping Dada with work! She loves to be with Matthew, it’s so sweet!

It’s not often that Corinna takes naps on me, but she did and I LOVED it!!

It’s been so so fun playing dress up with this girl! We got this cute little tutu and it’s just the sweetest!

I hope you all had a wonderful month of April, all things considered. Even in these uncertain times, I hope you can find gratitude and hope. We will get through this, I believe it! Praying for you all and always here to chat if you need someone!!

Hope you all have a great day!!
