Hello! I hope you’re all doing well and at the very least can enjoy that it’s almost the weekend already. Gotta love how fast holiday weekend weeks fly by! It seems like California is transitioning into opening back up now, although we’re still following pretty strict social distancing guidelines. In the coming weeks I know we’ll be getting out of the house a little more, but it’s unclear what most days will look like. I’m definitely looking for versatile pieces which is why I think this is the perfect day dress for transitioning from home to outings!
The Perfect Day Dress For Transitioning From Home to Outings
SHOP THE POST
Slowly but surely things are beginning to open up again here in Southern California. How is it where you live?? I am definitely ready to start going out and about again but for now, the majority of my days are spent at home. I have been looking for dresses that are comfortable for lounging around the house but are still cute to wear out if we go on a walk or make our way out for errands. The key is not having to change my outfit when I do leave the house haha!
Some things I like to look for in a dress are details like a ruffled hem, a tie around the waist, a pretty floral pattern, or even a smock design. Finding dresses with a small puff sleeve or that are a wrap style are always flattering and are easy to dress up with wedges and jewelry.
For summer days, I like to find light fabric like this linen dress or this eyelet cotton dress. I think the dress I’m wearing is my perfect home to outing transition dress! It’s loose and comfy and perfect for spending time at home or in the backyard. I love the print and think it would also be the cutest piece to wear on vacation! That’s something I’m totally looking forward to right now! Add some tassel earrings, a pair of chunky espadrilles sandals, and some cute cat eye sunglasses and you’re good to go!
