A New Fall Trend I’m Embracing for the First Time

I am loving lace up boots

One of the things I love about fall is the feeling of something new! Its the start of a new school year for some but the changes in temperature, and the ease into a cozier season, make new fall styles so appealing to me. It also feels like a nice opportunity to try something that’s a little different. Some try different hobbies, I try different trends –read my favorite fall trend so far!

When I was little I had a collection of American Girl dolls. Playing dress up with them, especially in their time period clothing, was something I could do for hours at a time. I loved putting on their dresses and their lace up shoes and boots. Lace up boots isn’t a style I personally have worn that much but it’s been one I’ve loved since way back when. They have a simple femininity that reminds me of early Americana. I found the cutest lace up boots and a style of clothing that goes perfect with it this season. The clothes that I found really stood out to me and honestly look expensive although they are very inexpensive to buy. Keep reading to see what I mean!

As I put together the outfit I am pictured in, I realized how much I am loving boots, especially this season. I find them super comfortable and easy to walk in. These faux suede lace up boots are almost sold out but there are so many similar ones, like these heeled boots I’ll talk about later which will give you the same comfort and style. The duster cardigan I am wearing is a great layering piece and looks super cute with jeans too! Here’s another open front cardigan that would be a versatile pick! My favorite piece of this look is this tie sleeve midi dress, though. It feels and looks way more expensive than it is, the color is perfect for fall and I think it can also look really cute layered! By the way, did I mention it’s under $15?! I’m still shocked about that!

I found a few other lace up boots that I find really nice and I’m sure you will too. These suede booties have more of a higher heel but would look super cute if you’re looking to dress up this fall. The colors of this style are so nice and you are sure to find the one you love. These combat lace up boots are a style I’ve been seeing everywhere, although I’m not sure I could pull it off. What do you think?? Would you wear them? I do love how inexpensive they are, especially if you just want to test out this trend. They seriously look like they cost more than double the price listed. The same goes for these ankle booties!

You can easily pair up those kinds of lace up boots with a nice dress like this smocked maxi dress that is perfect for fall. Or, you can even wear it as a more professional look when going to work or school. I really love the look of this moto jacket because it doesn’t look too bulky, and it still has that high-end look to it. I would wear this turtleneck bodysuit underneath it for a nice, casual and stylish look.

I saved the best for last! Did you know that Walmart launched a new line? And it’s so good! They have a bunch of elevated and super chic basics. Here are a few that really caught my eye: this boyfriend blazer is super stylish and on-trend and I love that it’s not so expensive because typically blazers can run on the steep side. Walmart also has this brown blazer that can match the basic things in your closet. These, along with other products in their line, are perfect options when shopping on on a budget. So many of you tell me that you’re looking for affordable options that are still stylish, so I hope this post helped cover the bases!
