Seattle Travel Diary
June 25, 2015
You know those trips that stand out to you, are super memorable, and you just long for them days/weeks/months after they’ve passed? That was definitely my Seattle birthday trip! I went to school in Seattle for two years and have only been back briefly. Once, for a meeting with my absolute favorite retailer, and then even more briefly as a way to get to the cruise ship! Both times, without Matthew. It’s been a dream of mine to visit Seattle with him and show him all my old favorite spots, along with the gorgeous UW campus.
When Matthew said he had to go for a work trip, I jumped at the chance to join him. Then, I found out that my best friend Lizzie {MOH extraordinaire!} was going to be there for a conference and it quickly came into the best trip ever before it began. Such a perfect way to celebrate my birthday!

the best curried avocado toast…and I don’t even like curry that much!
There’s something incredible about Seattle in general, rain or shine, but especially during the summertime. I love walking around downtown, seeing the sparkling lake in the distance, the gorgeous and impressive Mount Rainier as a backdrop wherever you go, eating late dinners outside with the sun setting around 9:30, exploring the little neighborhoods, it’s all my favorite. If you haven’t been to Seattle you really must go! Here are some of the spots we went to:

Whoops! Almost forgot about these photos from Seattle. My one day trip was extremely short but I loved being back in the city where I spent my first two years of college. I seriously miss Seattle so much, and it’s crazy that I haven’t been back in six years. It seems like maybe two years, but not six. {Where does time go?!} I’m hoping Matthew and I can go for a trip in Fall so I can show him all my favorite spots!
