Hi ladies! Happy Monday! I know things are still feeling pretty bleak right now, but I’ve been really trying to focus on positive thinking lately. One thing that has been keeping me feeling optimistic is the thought that summer is right around the corner! Sadly, I feel like we missed a lot of the amazing parts of spring. So I’m going to be leaning into summer all the way this year. Of course, I’ve been thinking about summer outfits and wanted to share the one thing I’ll be looking for when I pick them out!

May Edit: Nice & Neutral
I can’t believe we are already half way through May! This May has been pretty warm and I have been loving soft jumpsuits and comfortable dresses. While I do love a bright floral print, I have really been into pairing neutral pieces together and adding a bit of texture into my look.
Adding texture into your look can be so simple, but can really elevate an outfit. A pop of metallic jewelry pieces, a woven handbag or some espadrille style shoes are great and easy accessories to mix in and are a fresh way to break up a monotone outfit! This little knit midi dress is such a great staple for summer and you can totally wear it casual with espadrille sneakers, or dress it up with some chic gold earrings and a nude lipstick.
I love this tan linen jumpsuit and it’s under $25 {such a steal}, and would pair it with some woven slide on sandals! The subtle stripes with the textured sandals pair together so nicely in neutral shades and look so classy. Don’t forget about the accessories when wearing neutrals, adding some tortoiseshell sunnies and a fun woven tote bag are so trendy and perfect for this season! {P.S. did you catch this roundup of under $100 straw totes?!}

Now that spring is here and we have so much time at home, I have been really getting into gardening. It is the perfect time to start a home garden and teach the kids about it too. It would be so incredible to have fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables right in our own home. After doing a bit of research I found out just how easily it is to start your own little (or big) garden! I hope some of you find this post helpful during this time at home.
