We talked about houndstooth on Monday, so I have to bring up another one of my favorite fall/winter prints today..fair isle! I love the unique stitching that always makes me think of this time of year. I incorporated the pattern into an everyday outfit for running errands {hello endless holiday shopping!} by pairing it with a turtleneck sweater {layering is key right now}, and a pair of dark wash jeans. Everyone needs a classic holiday sweater, and this one from Old Navy is it for me! The neutral colors of the sweater makes it easy to go with anything, and it also retains that classic heritage look that I love, without being over the top! This was a perfect weekend outfit for going to the grocery store and bracing the mall!

You guys might notice a little change..I got bangs! I shot some photos with them right after I got it done, realized they were a tad too long and got a trim a few days later. So you’ll just have to see a few outfits with the longer fringe. I wanted a little bit of a change so thought I’d try bangs again. They’re definitely a little more work but it will be fun for the holidays! And I’m excited to part them as they grow out {like the first image}.
Happy Wednesday everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by!
It’s started to get colder in the mornings so I’ve been reaching for the jeans, cardi and boots outfits. I love printed cardigans and this one with the aztec print and black sleeves is so wearable. It’s a great print for fall and I added it to break up my denim on denim look. I got these black ankle boots at the end of winter last year and didn’t have much time to wear them before it got warm. I am in love with them, though. {Wearing them as I write this now!} They’re so incredibly comfy and go with everything. I’d highly recommend this style if you’re searching for ankle booties! They come in a bunch of other colors too!
There’s something about a long cardigan in an aztec print that I absolutely love. I had one that I wore like crazy these past couple of years {seen here and here}, but I decided to pass it off to my mom so that I could make room for this aztec cardigan from Old Navy! I love the grey pattern and the thick knit will keep me nice and cozy! I noticed that for a lot of my Old Navy posts I’ve worn pants, so I thought it would be a good idea to show how a cardigan like this {that can obviously be worn casually}, would also look dressed up a bit. I paired it with a pencil skirt and turtleneck, both in the purple family, so that the gray print would stand out. Simple pulled back hair kept the look more simple, while allowing the fun necklace to stand out. This would be a great outfit to wear to work when you want to dress professionally but still feel comfortable.
