Pink is one of my go-to colors, no matter the season. I love the soft hue and how it can also be worn as a neutral. This wool pink wrap coat from GUESS is one of the coziest coats I own and I’ll frequently add it to my outfits before I head out the door. It’s lightweight but still keeps me warm! I feel like this coat would also transition really well into spring! To play up the neutral element, I added a pair of light gray jeans and added a print with the leopard heels. This is the perfect outfit for a casual outing!

pairing pink with burgundy
October 12, 2015
I’ve talked before about how pink still looks great during fall, and you can even see it in action last week. It’s a color that looks really nice with brown or black, but recently I’ve been loving how it looks paired with burgundy. I know, who would have thunk it?
Originally, I actually wanted to wear this pink bow blouse with white culottes, but now that it’s October that didn’t really seem right. Although, I heard it’s in the 90s in LA right now..yikes! When thinking of other colored pants, I landed on burgundy. Burgundy is a traditional fall/winter hue, and one that I love to wear, especially with boots! I love how these two colors, pink and burgundy, look together. Makes me want to think of some other unexpected color combos with pink! Do you have any ideas?

Feeling a little bittersweet today as we head back from Portugal. We’ve had the best trip, and while I’m so grateful for every moment we’ve been able to spend here, I’m not quite ready for it to end. Even though I’m feeling excited and rejuvenated to get back to work, and counting down the minutes to see my Ginger pup, I do feel like I’m leaving a little bit of my heart here. Matthew and I are already talking about coming back, even though it might not be for several years. Nevertheless, I’ll be looking forward to it. Wish us some good thoughts today on our flight back! We’ll be stopping in NYC overnight to break up the flights. It’s a lot of travel and we both hate flying! I feel like the older I get, the more scared I get of airplanes. Do any of you feel that way too?
Hope you all had a great weekend and a happy week ahead!

pink for all seasons
August 24, 2015
Every fall I look for a new bag that I can tote around all season long. During spring I obsessed over Kate Spade New York’s blush pink bags and unfortunately didn’t get one. I totally regretted it too! When thinking about a fall bag in tan or black none really excited me that much. At least not nearly as much as this pink one did. So I decided to suck it up and get the bag I really wanted knowing that it would still go with fall cloting.
Case in point: this black outfit. Sure a brown or black bag would look great paired with this look, but why not pink? {P.S. I think why not pink is a such a good motto! Feel free to borrow that from me!}. All black is super chic but can often be a little too edgy, at least for me, so a pink bag softens it up. I also tied in this blush hue with this coat that I am so excited about! Seriously can not wait to wear this during winter!! It’s an investment but I know I’ll wear it for years to come!

Another thing I am so excited about with this outfit is this black leather skirt! It’s so gorgeous and the quality is amazing! It’s a great piece for work and it would look beautiful dressed up for a dinner date!I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Matthew and I had such a wonderful time in SF! We tried some new restaurants, saw friends, and just enjoyed being up there. I loved that it felt like fall too! It was perfectly chilly so ideal sweater and scarf weather!
