Gift Guide: Hard to Shop
We al have those people in our lives. The ones that are just really hard to shop for. You love them, you just don’t love shopping for them. Which is why, for my first gift guide of the season, I wanted to share some gift ideas for the people in your life who are hard to shop for!
Let’s start with a gift sure to please. FOOD. No one will ever turn down some indulgent treats. A few special chocolates never hurt. If your loved one doesn’t have much of a sweet tooth, I love gifting fancy dipping oils with a fresh loaf of nice bread. For a really indulgent treat, anyone would love a delivery of gourmet baked goods they can pop in the oven. Who wouldn’t want a house filled with the scent of flaky pastry??
I also threw in a few fun gift ideas that I know I would like to receive lol! A pretty planner, cocktail recipe book, or fun home item would do the trick for me!

A Unique Father’s Day Gift Guide
Father’s Day is just around the corner if you can believe it! I’ve so enjoyed Matthew being home a lot more since Corinna was born, and I’m so excited to get him something fun this year to celebrate this day. Dads are so important and so special, and I love that we have a day to honor them and all they do! And of course, I can’t wait to celebrate my own wonderful dad! I’ve put together a unique Father’s Day gift guide that includes ideas for dads with various interests!
For the Cook
I found a great Blue Cheese and Fig Balsamic Dipping Oil from Williams Sonoma that looks so delicious for dipping bread or crackers! Matthew said he would want to put it on homemade pizza, which is perfect since I also saw this Cuisinart Portable Outdoor Pizza Oven. This is such a great gift for the summer months, and I love that it’s portable so you can take it anywhere!
The book, Wanderlust: A Hiker’s Companionis the ultimate hiker guidebook with helpful tips and amazing hikes to try out. It’s also a great coffee table book with beautiful images to look through.
Great for camping or even just everyday use, the Yeti Insulated Mug is perfect for any coffee or tea drinking dad. It keeps drinks super hot or cold all day which is perfect since Matthew loves his iced coffee!
For the Gardner
These leather gardening gloves are so well-made and perfect for the gardening enthusiast *cough* my Dad and Matthew. Dads can wear them while planting this Funky Vegetable Kit, which would be perfect whether they’re a beginner or have a major green thumb. I like that it includes some pretty unique vegetables that you can’t buy at the store. They are all 100% organic and non-GMO as well!
I found a small potted orange tree that would be so pretty in any backyard. Great for the dad that likes to garden but doesn’t want to start from scratch. Since Matthew has been working so hard on the backyard, I thought I might splurge on a nice tabletop fire pit that adds a nice touch to the outdoor dining table or living area! Another fun backyard spruce would be these hanging lights that are so beautiful to hang up outside the home. They can be hung up all year round, and it makes your backyard look dreamy!
For the Stylish Dad
This leather belt is an awesome staple for any dad’s wardrobe. It comes in brown and black leather, so you can choose whichever best fits his style! You can always pick up a nice and simple short sleeved button-up shirt for the more casual yet stylish dad.
A Patagonia Ball Cap is a perfect staple to any dad’s wardrobe. It comes in a green, a black, and a navy color. This is an especially great gift for the summer months ahead! And a pair of these board shorts are a great gift for any dad in the summer. They come in a plethora of colors and patterns, so there are some fun ones to choose from.
This amazing Gentleman Jon Deluxe Wet Shave Kit is such a great and affordable gift too! It comes with so many little add-ons and at such an awesome price.

Mother’s Day Gift Guide
Happy May everyone! May is often recognized as the month of flowers, but we can’t forget it holds one of the best holidays of the year, Mother’s Day! Mother’s Day gifts are one my favorite to shop for, because there are so many cute gifts out there and it always feels so good giving gifts to the moms in my life. I picked out some items that I know as a mom I would absolutely love. They’re perfect for you to gift to your own mom or the female figures that are important to you!
As I mentioned before, May is all about flowers so this guide would not be complete without this gorgeous bouquet from Amazon {who knew you can send flowers so affordably?!}. I’ve been super into buying flowers recently, and was obsessed with this bouquet I mentioned in my April Edit! Flowers are such a great gift and are always a perfect touch to any living space. Speaking of florals, I found this beautiful, floral maxi dress, perfect for any spring or summer festivities, or even just lounging around! Mamas need more than just the dress though, they of course have to accessorize! I love the pop of color these adorable beaded earrings can add to any look, and while we’re at it, I might as well throw in these chic tortoiseshell sunglasses as moms can never own too many pairs. Plus, tortoise sunnies are a personal fave! To match the spring and summer vibes, this pretty lipstick tint and fun vibrant blush palette make a great combo gift!
Moms always appreciate a little bit of time for self care, which is why I’ve included some skin nourishing bubble bath and a refreshing chamomile lavender toner. I know that when I’m taking some time for self-care, I can’t help but treat myself to some sweets too, which is why chocolate is another perfect gift. Don’t these smoked sea salt caramels sound so delicious??
Another timeless, great gift is a cookbook for those mamas who love to cook! One of my favorites that I always reach for is The Love and Lemons Cookbook. Or for grandma’s favorite meals or moms who have their own tasty creations, I love this cute recipe book! I also like to use fresh herbs while cooking, and think this homegrown basil kit is so cute, and could easily be paired with this gorgeous imported watering can.
I’ve always been really into perfume {check out my favorite spring perfumes!} and know moms would love receiving this Le Labo perfume! And last but not least, I am obsessed with this colorful tote bag and these rainbow plaid sandals, which are ideal for any spring or summer outfit!
What are your Mother’s Day plans? I personally love getting together with the whole family and celebrating together! I know I said this last year, and it’s still as cliche as it sounds, but my ultimate favorite gift is quality time with my little Augustine and Corinna! I think this year we might have a little brunch at our house and invite my mom and Matthew’s over. It’s always so special when everyone is together!
P.S. I also shared some handmade gifts I’m loving for Mother’s Day this week!
