Update! It’s still hot here in California. However, it is beginning to feel a lot more like fall, at least in the mornings and evenings. October is one of those months that you long for that cool crisp weather, and sadly SoCal has other plans. Even still, I’m not letting the warm temperatures get in the way of embracing fall and all its glory! For starters, I’m popping Pumpkin Spice Date Balls like they’re candy and I’m diffusing some of my favorite wood and spice scents! I’m also adding to my fall wardrobe and this October Edit serves as some major style inspiration!
I love layering in fall, and not just because I need to out of necessity. Layered outfits also just look al little more stylish and put together. An easy way to update your jeans and tee outfits are with a chunky knit sweater, or a plaid poncho. I also love accessorizing with floppy hats or beanies, and of course cozy scarves.
I’ve realized my wardrobe doesn’t have too many everyday skirts right now. I do have this big full skirt, but this houndstooth mini would be super versatile. I love how it would look with a cozy turtleneck! I definitely have turtlenecks on the brain because this striped version is at the top of my list. It’s not too heavy so it’s great for our weather now, but it would also look nice layered under vests, or even dresses!
When it comes to fall shoes, I live in my boots! This heeled ankle boot style is polished and pretty, and this knee-high style would be the perfect match for a mini dress. And because I’m all about some leopard, I had to throw in these mule slides. They’d be a great office shoe or a fancy flat option for an event!
Alright, hope you guys liked my monthly edit! It’s always so fun putting these together. Do you have any fun plans this weekend? My weekend seems a little busier than usual because I have an event on Saturday and a baby shower on Sunday. Somewhere in there, I need to also clean my office. need need NEED to clean it! We had a little accident with a broken clothes rack so clothes are everywhere! Just thinking about that room stresses me out so I have to do something about it.
I hope you all have a great one. Thanks so much for reading!

I love September, it’s the beginning of Fall and it seems like every store has sweaters and jackets and cozy things. I’m also already craving pumpkin spice everything! I’m so ready for the California heat wave to be over so I really embrace fall. In this September Edit I am sharing some of my favorite things for the new year, in one of my go-to fall color palettes. As you can see I am loving this navy blue and burgundies. You might have guessed as much with my recent outfit posts. This burgundy lace dress is a fave, and I love this go-to plaid top!
