After Matthew and I got back from Portugal, we hit the ground running for fall. Since we got back mid-October we wanted to make sure we could savor the season as much as possible. That meant decorating our house and also finding a pumpkin patch! Unfortunately, in Los Angeles there aren’t many pumpkin-on-the-vine patches. Most of the pumpkin patches here are constructed with tents and straw in parking lots behind malls. While those can be great, I really wanted to find one that felt a little more rustic and homey. I did some research and decided our best bet was heading north to find pumpkins on the vine in Ventura County.

tassels and leather
October 21, 2015

I love a black and white outfit! With fall being in full swing around here, I brought out this fun tassel sweater and paired it with a black leather mini skirt. When I wear shorter skirts I like to add over-the-knee boots. They provide a little more coverage for the chillier fall days, and they’re just so comfortable. I’ve been really obsessed with this sweater though. The mock turtleneck is so classic and I love the tassels on the trim–they remind me of my DIY Tassel Pillow! The sweater looks great with jeans too, and it also comes in a stunning cobalt color!

This week has seemed extra busy! I’m working on a bunch of fun projects for fall and winter that I can’t wait to share. It’s hard to believe the holidays are right around the corner. First, up Halloween though! I can’t wait! Are any of you going to dress up? Matthew and I have planned the same costume for the last three years so we’ll see if we actually do it this year!

a lip print Cadillac
March 14, 2015

I realized the other day that I didn’t share all the photos from my VALENTINE’S DAY SHOOT with Matthew. In an effort to not make the post too long, I thought I’d split the photos up {you’re welcome!}. So, at the end of our shoot, we came across this amazing 1974 Cadillac with big cherry-red lip prints all over it. After some research I found out that the classic car was beautified by Donald Robertson, creative director of Estee Lauder, for an Art Basel project with Smashbox. They drove it all the way to Miami and back, with some fun stops in between. We were so thrilled to take photos in front of it, although I’ll admit I was secretly dreaming of hot wiring it and taking it straight to an old drive-in movie theatre! Here are some photos from the second part of our super fun shoot!

On Mara: dress Nordstrom, shoes Loeffler Randall {more colors here!}, necklace Pink Peonies Collection, lipstick MAC Overtime {my wedding lipstick!}
So much fun! I felt like this post was fitting since Valentine’s Day was one month ago today. Do you still have leftover candy? I was suckered into buying it on sale. I couldn’t resist, so now I have red and pink M&Ms to keep me full until Halloween!
